Topic: I am home and feeling really well.
Thank you to everyone who sent advice and prayers. I appreciate it all. I am not having any complications at all. My only issue is not being able to pick my baby up and having to depend on everyone else in the house to pick him up when he cries. Once again thank you.

Topic: Soft Food Ideas Needed
I need help with ideas for high protein soft foods besides the basics. I especially need ideas for breakfasts. My program has me on soft foods for 3 weeks starting tomorrow, and I don't want to get bored as I often do. Suggestions for good protein foods to eat when out would also be helpful. Thanks everyone! I'm having the same problem. Lost 45 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks and have only lost 1 since. Very depressing. It is your body's starvation mechanism kicking in and taking charge. I have only three suggestions to help. 1. Up the water. 2. Up your calories 20-30%. Make sure those calories are from protien though. 3. And the one nobody wants to hear, pick up the exercise. Your metabolism is slowing down and the only way to bust that is to burn more calories. A few days of increased activity, along with the protein and water, will kickstart the metabolism and should get you moving in the right direction. I'm still in neutral at the moment, but I am confident that the scale will begin to move very soon. And if it doesn't, I'll be throwing more than that scale through a window.

Amanda - Your list helped me make a grocery list for tomorrow. But first I have to Google: DaVinci's Sugar Free syrups. I've never heard of them. This is all so enlightening! Thank you!

Oh - you probably can tell - when I set my mind to something, I do it. I 've always said that about myself, but ended with "except my weight". This time, I was able to do it WITH my weight! It took me a short time to go from commiting to the actual surgery, but I read EVERYTHING I could to make sure I had the right surgeon and chose the right procedure for me. I purchased a ton of books on Amazon (Weight Loss for Dummies is the first staple) and talked to everyone I could. I'll bet your surgeon has a support group, find out when the are and attend, you'll get a ton of information there. Also - be sure to focus on any emotional issues that you may have regarding your weight. You may have seen and heard the "transfer addiction" discussions lately. Some will say it's rare, however, you and only you know what type of emotions may come from losing weight. You really need to focus on that. Focus on the long term success, not just getting to surgery.... You'll do great! Good Luck! Jill
