I can't drink more than 3 or 4 oz at once, and can't eat more than 2 oz at once. Part of it depends on the size your surgeon made the pouch, but I'm going to post a link to my protein drink here, so you see how I can manage 11 grams protein in 3 oz drink, that stays cold! I do it 2 or 3 times a day and YAAY no problem getting in protein. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/03-2007/postdetail/1081.html?vc=0

2 cups GNC Pro Performance Vanilla protein 2 ounces Sugar Free French Vanilla syrup (coffee aisle) 1/4 c. Folgers Decaf instant coffee Mix all ingredients in 2 quart container and add water to fill container. Shake well and refrigerate for 4-6 hours before serving. Thanks so much, ya'll! I really appreciate it. Nicole - a lot of what you're doing is what I have been doing. Good to know I'm on the right track. I'll have to try those pre-packaged salads!

Hi. No, what I wrote is the guidelines for everyone in my program. I do half a scoop of isopure in 3-4oz of water in the Magic Bullet. It's 50 calories and 12.5 grams of protein. It is portioned out for what I can do within my diet. How do you drink 12oz of isopure with the tiny pounch? My weight management specialist really emphasized not drinking or eating more than the pouch can hold as that will stretch it out and make weight loss difficult. I am scared to do anything more than 4oz of liquids and 2 ounces of anything thicker for the hope of not stretching out my pouch. Just wondering. Sherry

Move over everyone! I think of food all day long. I even have food dreams. It drives me nuts. I get more than enough protein and the water I sip all day might even exceed the goal amt for the day. I sure hope that they really did the surgery on me. I use Isopure too. I thought that 2 scoopfuls to 12oz. of water in the blender was 50 grms. of protein. You had to have misunderstood the info about the calories. That's just not enough. Take Care~~~ Diane

Thanks for sharing the story! I had some of that junk in my lungs but didn't know it was from surgery or why it happened. I just remember them telling me to breathe deeply whenever my oxygen level seemed to go lower. I did make sure to get it up the lung junk each time and haven't had a problem so far. I have never had pnemonia and hope not to, but I am glad you are better. I hope you don't get it again. Sherry

Take care of yourself! I know the breathing deeply and coughing/raspy voice part is painful. I'll be thinking well thoughts for you. Hang in there. Sarah.

My itching has already started too.and i was thinking about the triple antibiotic ointment..i use it for everything! I am hungry too...but i think most of it is head hunger. I am having troubles feeling full but am still on full liquids. My surgeon allows cottage cheese so I just had that today for the first time and it stayed down lovely and tasty SOO good. and it has TONS of protein. I'm also sipping on a protein shake. There are these new protein things that are like shots of protein. They tasty fruity and you can ad them to your crystal light...i don't have the website off hand but I will find it and update it when I i have it. Each shot I think contains 15 grams of protein in ONE ounce!!! Anyway..hope this helps! Rita
