I'm very excited and nervous! I'm really not nervous about the surgery. I'm nervous about the pain!!! I'm so glad I'll have a morphine pump! I'll definitely save you a seat!

I am having RNY on Tuesday the 27th. I am nervous too but I am trying not to let it show so that my kids won't get upset. I can not wait to get my weight off either. They could have done it yesterday if they wanted to.

Hello everyone and happy Friday thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement
it meant the world to me and have given me more determination sand renewed my spirit that God will be with me all the way....Now can you tell me it seems like i should be getting prepared somehow any pointers on what to do for the next42 days for instance just look back and tell me some changes you may have implemented while waiting for your surgery date THANK YOU AGAIN SISTER AND BROTHERS IN CHRIST

Sorry, but I had RNY and not the lap band, so I'm not much help. I'd say call your doctor's office, as they should have lots of good info about diet. My program happened to have a dietician to field this type of questions.
Be reassured that everyone gets nervous right before. From what I've heard most people look for protein supplements fairly regularly post surgery. There are, however more products out there than just the shakes.

I lost 15 on the pre-surgery diet, and the rest since my surgery about 10 days ago.
I wasn't kidding when I said this is the biggest loser club.
Jodell is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, and she is excited by my results.
