Jodell's still on track for the 27th. She is becoming more re-assured as she's seen me start to bounce back over the past couple days.

You can do it, but it's not easy. For me, the pre-diet was really tough, but what made it easier compared to other diets was that I knew it would be over in 2 weeks.
Feeling great today 4 days post surgery. I really feel like I'm on the up-swing.

I had my surgery on Tuesday March 13, 2007. I had no complications and my hospital stay was only 2 days. I am now at home with little pain. my only hold up is getting in these fluids its soooo hard.
Topic: Surgery Tuesday - On Sugar Free Liquids Now
Hi all! Well, surgery for me is Tuesday afternoon, and I have started the 3 day clear liquid diet. My appointment with the surgeon o Thursday went fine, and I decided to do the gastric bypass instead of the lap band. I think it is best for me not having to do so much follow up and being able to lose weight more quickly due to knee and hip problems. I am praying that I can make it through the weekend ok and that my surgery goes well. I am really nervous about complications, but my surgeon feels confident that it's not likely. Hopefully he's having a good day on Tuesday!
Check in everyone with surgery next week so we can support each other!

Hi Dave. Glad to hear you are home and pretty much ok besides the miserable hospital stay. Sometimes people feel aweful and have complications but it's not common and is important to stay positive for the longer term results. You will get better!! It is a good sign that you are home though and can relax better. Drink those fluids and take care!
Sherry
PS My surgery is Tuesday, and I just started my sugar free clear liquid diet today. Hope I can make it.
Topic: RE: I Can't Wait for March 27th
Hi Guys!
I'm Amanda, all the way over in Perth, Western Australia. My VSG is booked in on the 27th March as well. I share a bit of both your stories in the date, and the fact that I have had only 2 weeks notice, so only 2 weeks to stress, worry and worry some more!!
I hope every thing goes well for you all and that we will all have amazing results to share. Not to mention advice on everything we go thru!
Wishing you the best of luck!
Amanda
