I'm a big pizza fan so I lay out 17 turkey pepperonis on a plate and season with some kind of garlic powder or just what ever kind of seasoning I have the sprinkle 1/4 cup 2% grated cheese on it. Put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. IT makes the pepperonis kind of crispy around the edges. It's about 150 cals and 14 or so grams of protein. Hope this helps! I have had many Wow's in the past 5 months and I can't even begin to list them but today! Well...little things in life are amazingly uplifting! My moods have been swinging like an Amusement Park ride....wild and fast. But today it is kind of cool in Mich and I had to go out to the dentist. Well even with Babbette (big hernia) in my way....I was able to put my socks on without sitting on side of bed and struggling to get foot up that high and tie my shoes after they were on my feet...not before! Wooo Hooo what a thrill! Now I head off to dentist which is one of my favorite places to go NOT and I walk up to the door and wow who is that staring at me in that glass door??? I backed off and then went back! Wow did I look good (except for Babbette who makes me look pregnant not fat). I know I have lost weight and I know I have changed sizes....but my poor head just doesn't keep up with my body's changes....it still pictures me as being as big around as tall if not bigger. I loved the feeling so much I made another app't for Fri afternoon to see myself again! Well I can't lie...I needed another app't and they had one open for Fri...but it sounded good! LOL Little things are great!!!

hi, i don't post often either. but like everyone else, i'm always around here are my stats: had surgery 3/19-304 lbs 5'4 inches tall. current weight as of 08/05/2007-224 lbs ttl weight loss-80 lbs!! i feel so much better!! ppl are actually using my name and the word "little" in the same sentence........weird. i hope to be under 200 lbs,by the end of september. I haven't worked out in the past 2 weeks like i should and as soon as i get over a mild illness, i'm going to get back on top of it. I've had braids for about 2 mths, so you guys are scaring me about the hair loss. i'm really terrified!!! hopefully it all won't fall to the ground when i take my hair down, because i don't do like i should with the protein. i'm trying though.

I prefer a grill pan over the foreman grill. For some reason the food I make in the grill doesn't taste right to me. After I transitioned from my soft protein diet I swore off cottage cheese for awhile! I was so so sick of eating it lol It might be time to work some of it back in. Good luck and thanks! Nicole

Hi Mag, Thanks for the suggestions! I've tried virtually every Morning Star and Gardenburger brand food product in the frozen food aisle and have yet to taste something I like. I was really hoping I'd like some of it, especially the breakfast sausage. Ah well - the search continues! Thanks again Nicole

If you don't have a George Forman Grill - get one... just throw a seasoned chicken breast on there and you are set! If you do frozen chicken it will still be juicy when you are done. You can do fish on it too! For lunch (or breakfast) I've been doing cottage cheese with a small tomato cut up in it... I haven't been able to tolerate cooked eggs since surgery so my breakfast choices are limited and I'm not the biggest fan of yogurt or shakes... I'm glad you posted this because I am getting in to a food rut and I would love to see what others have to say... Amie

Hi Nicole-Congrats on your weight loss so far!! WOW! I'm in a similar situation (cooking for 1) and I'm not the best cook. I LOVE those Morning Star brand foods. They're frozen, vegetarian foods that taste great! They have breakfast options like veggie bites and burger choices and even buffalo wings. I asked my Nut about them and she's thrilled with the protein content! As for cooking them, you just place them on some aluminum foil for the stove (10-20 mins) or a couple minutes in the microwave. REALLY easy. Mag 286/190/145
