I had my RNY on 3/15 and I am down 81 lbs. as of this morning - I've had a few stalls that only lasted a week but other than that I am doing great... I haven't been excercising because work has been pretty hectic but I did a lot of walking at the Omaha Zoo this weekend and it made me realize that I need to get my butt in to the gym and build up my leg muscles again... it sounds like everyone in the March group is doing great, keep up the good work and stay healthy!

Hi Bernie! I'm down 95 lbs now, but I just found out I'm severly anemiac and protein
malnourished. And I'm losing muscle. So with that being said, I don't feel very happy about almost reaching my 100 lb mark like I thought I would. I'm on iron supplements and taking 2 prenatel vitamins a day, and I'm starting to feel much better. I just can't eat much still, which bothers me because it makes it hard to get all my protein in. I'm working on it. I'll let ya know how it goes....Good luck to you you are doing awesome!!!............Dorean

Hello there, some of you may know me or at least my husband, Dave. He talks about both of us so I haven't actually done anything yet on this site, I am just getting started. I am about 3 1/2 months out and I have lost a total of 60 pounds. I am doing pretty well, I just need to get into doing some exercise now. I am having a hard time finding time to do it so I need to work on that.

I had my surgery on 3/20. My weight that day was 411. Now I'm down to 318. It's amazing, 93 lbs in less than 4 months. Hoping to be down 100 by they 20th. That would be awesome. No real stalls yet, I've had a couple of slow weeks, but then BOOM, I get on the scale and have lost another 5-10 lbs.
I do find it to be a bit embarrassing to tell people how much weight I've lost. I'm still so big. I've got about 150 lbs to go. I feel good though. I'm the smallest I've been in 10 years.
Life is good!

Hi,
I had RNY 3/26. I have lost 58 lbs. No major stalls. I have been walking but only for 15 to 20 min a day. Yesterday I walked for 2 miles. Took me an hour. I am sore today but it will not stop me. I hope to walk that far this morning but if I don't that is OK. At least I will be walking.

Great work on how far you've come. What a blessing to be mobile after such a tuff post-surgery recovery. You're my hero!

Topic: RE: Am I losing too slow?
i really think people with bigger numbers just tend to post them more. there are plenty of us who are not losing as fast. AND THAT'S OK!
i don't blame the big losers for "bragging" when they toss out their stats at every chance (i can't say I wouldn't do the same), but i do wish they would include the disclaimers ... start weight/age/height/sex/activity level/etc.
