How are you down that much? How much did you lose pre op? I Lost 10 lbs Pre OP., reading other posts on the main message board everyone else is about the same as me or maybe 5 to 10 lbs more weight loss. Wish I was at least 65 lbs down now.. My BMI was at 40.7 is this about normal for me? Am i Suppose to be exercising more to get a bigger result????? I am Happy but cant help but think i could be happier. I have cheated just a little, not enough to count on my fingers,so that cant be that much of a big deal.I was still keeping under 40g. of fat per day. Some days I keep at 10g of fat per day. Please advice me..Thanks a Bunch.......Wendy Minds Are Like Parachutes-They Function Only When Open

Congrats on the weight lost, and how far you've come in this short period of time. Great to see you hear on the board. Come back often to let us know how you're doing. We share our struggles and triumphs here on this board. My wife, Jodell, and I both had RNY done in March of this year, and are doing great...most days. Last week I passed my 100 lbs lost mark, and am nearing my goal weight. Combined, Jodell and I have lost over 150 lbs!!!! We too have enjoyed the fabulous feeling of dropping the clothes sizes. I can honestly say that I can wear NONE of my presurgery clothes. --Dave

I am right in the same boat with you. I had my second fill June 6 and suddenly was loosing at least one meal every day. I've gone back to softer foods - egg beaters, cottage cheese and soups - and can keep them down fine. No more chicken, fish or broccoli for me for a while. Good luck.

I am not sure why I never posted or even visited this forum before, but I am here now and believe better late than never. I read over some of the postings and feel like I'm home. So here I am--RNY laparoscopy--date 3/12/07 and I feel great. I am down almost 80 pounds and that includes the 17 lbs. Lost pre-op (consult 11-1-06). I didn't do any measurements, although I just bought jeans (with a zipper and snap) in a size 14-woohoo!! Rings are big, no bra overflow, and shoe size is down 1 1/2 sizes--what's that about? I also walk 2 1/2 miles almost everyday. And finally--I will be 51 next month!! I feel 30 again!! Hugs to all! Lora

Topic: RE: Hair loss
Oh, my hair falls out all day long. I lose enough hair in one day to make a wig for someone. Luckily, I have thick hair and it hasn't been too noticeable. However, everywhere I go or sit, I leave a pile of hair behind. I was watching "Big Medicine" and they said it is a protein issue. I talked to my nutritionist and doctor and both said it will pass, probably in several months. But, really, I can run my hand through my hair and pull out a handfull. I'm going to buy stock in Draino.
