Hi All!
I am very excited in my change of activity level.... I used to use a wheel chair quite often when I went anywhere outside of my home. I could only stand up and walk for a very short time, without becoming out of breath and in severe pain. WELL, now things are definately improving. Last week I actually went shopping by myself, without a wheelchair. I would not have tried this before surgery at all. I looked around in the store for 45 mins. I had to sit down 3 times, not bad, for a couple of minutes. They had a bench near the dressing room. I bought myself some cute new shirts, for my trip last weekend. This was so much fun, I can't wait to continue to feel better and better.
Thanks for reading!

Topic: update on my misery
HI,
I have not had enough energy to post, but wanted to thank you all for your support and friendship this week, I took all your advice and called Barix. I spoke to Dr Kam's nurse Tracey. ( she is so wonderful)
Anyway, she suggested taking Zantac, that the stomach acid may be causing my nausea. I tried that yesteday. I have not eaten ANYTHING since Friday or Sat. little sips of water here and there but even that gags me..the smell or thought of foods makes me dry heave, and throw up bile.
I tried last nite a sf popcicle and some chicken broth..and 2 saltine crackers..I FORCED it down, as that tightening in my thrat and jaw came and the salivating nausea..
I immediately had violent diahrea. nice. SOOO, still nothing today and I keep crying out of frustration at feeling bad, having no energy, and having to miss work. ( I have been in bed for two days.
I know I am rambling.
ANYWAY, today..Tracey from Barix said Dr Kam suggested that I take Nexium or some other similar med and an anti nausea, he could not call in a script as I am in Canada.
I called my pcp who gave me a script for the Nexium and suggested picked up gravol at the pharmacy. I have done this. I hope it helps. I have a headache, and feel like I am absolutley dehydrated. I hope I can hang in until Sunday when I leave for my post op appt which is MONDAY...I really want to feel good and healthy again.
this sucks. I am desperate to feel better and depressed from being ill and tierd and not eating.
well back to bed.

You are doing wonderfully. I know you have to be jumping for joy and kissing the sky every chance you get.
So far I have lost 34 lbs since March 27th. I was starting to get upset about it but I realize that I have lost even more inches. I am starting to see a major difference. I bought my first paif of size 16 pants in almost 10 years. Down 2 sizes..thats hot.
Strength: I am getting that protein in and not over eating. I have learned that when my body says enough..that is it.
Weakness: I still need to get the water in and stop drinking so much green tea. I am going to turn green soon. I also need to stop stepping on the scale every time I go into the bathroom. I need to increase my exeerecise too, especially if I want to be a size 14 before I go to Jamaica next month.

Well.....sorta. I mean, I've been instructed not to drink 30 minutes before, during and 30 minutes after my meals - including the protein supplement drink. Once I'm able to get in enough protein with food I'll go off the supplement.
Topic: Two month Check in!
Tomorrow it will be 3 months since my surgery. It has been quite a ride, and I am doing fabulous! Since my all time highest weight I've now lost 95 pounds, down from 350lbs to 255. (~25 lbs of the weight lost was pre-surgery) This is awesome considering I am 6'4"
Pant waist size is now officially down to 40" from 52" waist. I decided to buy new work clothes every 6 inches, so my 46" pants are getting WAY too baggy, and I have some new 40" pants on mailorder. I am elated that my shirt size is officially now an XL from 3XL and sometimes a 4XL. So far I have absolutely no signs that I will need plastic surgery.
Strengths: Getting in at least the 60 g of protein each day, drinking my water, and taking my vitamins.
Weaknesses: Exercise-- I've increased my exercise substantially over the past couple weeks, but I still have quite a way to go. Wanting to increase both cardio and resistance training. Reading some of the posts here, there are many of the "Marchers" that seem to be doing alot better than me on the exercise. You are my inspiration.

Yeah, ok so 3 meals with "supplements" between.... = 3 meals with snacks between...
Well, as long as the snacks are high protein (or supplement), not just pleasure foods.
So sounds like you're on the same page as us, they just rephrased the wording
