Kathy,
You probably have a new found confidence and upbeat attitude compared to pre-surgery. I have found that there are some people who get extremely upset when other people are happy. Usually, it's on account of them being very unhappy themselves. In my workplace, gossip by women about the people around them seems to be par for the course. Most likely you are just the current target, and it will change to someone else before you know it.
Don't let yourself get caught up in negativity.... There are too many positives going on for you right now!
Other people may feel uneasy, as they may not be all that familiar with your new diet requirements and lifestyle. I've had several people I work with say that I am an inspiration to them to lose weight.

Green Tea has caffiene too!! Don't be fooled
Avoid caffiene and the dehydration complication it creates.

Topic: RE: ROLE CALL!!! (A couple days late)
Hi all,
Sorry I'm posting late. Hubby finally came home from an 8 month deployment last week so I've been very busy. He was so surprised at my WL - 50 pounds since he left last fall.
WL - 235/193.5/130 -- don't know measurements.
Surgery 3/21
Sizes - was almost a 22W and now I'm 14W. Haven't tried going to the misses department yet, too scared at being disappointed. Clothes in my closet are really getting too big. I bought some shorts to wear to the DH's homecoming 2 weeks ago - they are now getting too big in the waist.
Since hubby has been home he's struggling to not get me to eat more. He said he's not used to seeing me eat so little and is afraid I'm not getting enough. But I just let him know I can't handle this or that and he's fine. He doesn't push food on me, just that he thinks I'm not getting enough but I know I am. He's so surprised at my WL and for the first time since we've known each other, I'm smaller than him. He said my WL gives him the encouragement to eat less and lose a little.
About 2 weeks ago I battled a kidney stone and it won. I was rushed to the ER - they said I was a little dehydrated but not bad. But the pain from the kidney stone was unbearable -- I didn't have that much pain from the surgery! They thought I was having a complication from the surgery but ran a CT Scan and found out that it was a kidney stone. Never want to go through that again!
My successes this week have been that I've stayed on tracked but have wanted Root Beer (my favorite soda) so I found some Root Beer flavored hard candy with low sugar -- that did the trick and gave me the taste I was craving. This past weekend my hubby and I walking and went fishing. I know fishing isn't really aeorbic but it was fun hiking to our favorite fishing spot about 1.5 miles to the car.
For the first time in a long time I looked at myself in the mirror - I can't believe the change in my body - simply amazing! Clothes that were too small are now too big.
My weaknesses for this past week was remembering my vitamins but I have been getting in all my protein and I'm doing better on my fluids.
My other weakness is that I've been craving rice, pasta and/or bread. My doctor said I can try it but I'm scared - maybe in a few weeks I'll try a little. Has anyone tried tortillas, breads, pastas or rice yet? Have you been able to tolerate them?
Hope you all have a great week.

Topic: Flirtatious men? Jealous women?
I notice that I am being flirted with alot, for some reason men who knew you beofre the surgery think you are easy now....I have news for them! And women at work.. some will not even speak to me. One of the women talk behind my back all the time, the men at work tell me that!! Anyone else experience this? I am still the same person inside, or am I? This is a question I have been asking myself lately. I have been told that I am alot happier and nicer, do you think that ticks people off? I have come to realize a long time ago that you cannot please people. I just wish people were not so hateful.
