Topic: RE: ROLE CALL!!! (A couple days late)
Hello! I am having so many crazy days lately, exams are upon me and i am supposed to start my new job in a few weeks.
highest 294/prewls 272/ current 240/ goal 130/ dream goal 115
Total loss so far: 30 pounds and haven't measured at all.
Clothes: I am still wearing the same clothes just belting them and pinning them for now.
Struggles last week: I don't take my medicine or vitamins, don't drink enough water and I didn't get in even close to enough protein -- don't even start on my exersize.
Triumphs: Managed to clean/organize three rooms of my house and mow the foot long grass in the front and back yard.
Goal for this week: Light a fire under my @$%!
I so need to stay in touch with this board. i need to compare myself against my own peers. I am so upset over not loosing any weight for a while that I lost track of so much. I have two more final exams next week and then I have to get back on board.

Hi Everyone!
I am coming up on 10 weeks since surgery. I am still in Brazil but will be returning to the US in about 2 weeks. I'm excited and sad to leave. I hope to leave the country at under 200 pounds.
Here are my stats:
258/207/130
Starting wt./current/goal
Total loss so far: 52 pounds
Struggles last week: dealing with my list of ailments including an abscess under one of my incisions. I'm also having difficulty swallowing which I think is something to do with my tonsils. Looking forward to getting back to the US and seeing my doctors.
Triumphs: Walked everywhere, got out to see some more sights in Salvador
Topic: RE: food
Different things I eat, and like:
triscuit crackers
South Beach protein bars (19 g of protein)
New whey protein shots (42 g of protein in 3 oz.)
various soups
String cheese (colby jack and peper jack varieties)
Sliced deli meat (especially low fat turkey breast)
Home-made salsa with corn chips
I have been recently using fitday.com free calorie calculator and activity calculator to track what I'm eating, and make sure I get in all of my vitamins, protein, and water. I had my surgery 3-13, and over the last week or so I've ramped up my exercise and started weight lifting again.
I think you're probably doing great, but not giving yourself enough credit. My wife, Jodell has that problem (3-27 surgery and 45 lbs lost).

Congrats on the milestone, and the new clothes. Jodell and I feel like the incredible shrinking people, and have had to get rid of a bunch of our clothes FOREVER.
Keep up the good work-

Had surgery Mar. 8th and now have lost 42lbs. So now weigh 197!! I'm a slow loser, but hey, I'm still losing.
I love clothes and have had some put away that used to fit, than became too snug. Well have been shopping in my closets and now some are too big!!
I had a pair of capri pants on that zip and button ( no elastic), and while doing yard work, they fell down!!
. So glad I wasn't out in public.
So quess it's time to go thru all clothes, have garage sale and make money to buy new. How fun that will be!!
I'm so glad I had this surgery and brought my life back.
Take care,
Kathy

Wow I'm so glad that I just found this board. Tuesday was my 2 months and I have not weighed since then due to my period. So here are my stats: (as of 5/22)
289/236/130
total loss- 53 pounds gone!!!!
I dont measure cuz I really dont need one more thing to be obsessed with.
My struggles this week: wanting carbs.. found out i could eat pretzels arrrggggggggg
What am i proud of: that i am lifting weighs
Goal for next week: to ease up on the pretzel/carbs and get more exercise
Topic: RE: food
I eat almost only protein. I avoid eating bread and potatoes, no more fried foods, no more beef (yet, can't tolerate)... If your protein is not enough, or your water is not enough, your weight loss will SLOW DOWN dramatically.
So lots of water, lots of protein, and lots of exercise are the key ingredients.

Hi...I had surgery on 3/27 and I've lost 42 pounds so i think we're all hovering around the same numbers except for the few who are way above or below. Sometimes I think it has to do with your initial weight. If you started at 400 pounds you're going to lose more quickly than someone who started at 300 pounds. don't fret...just keep doing what you're doing and keep the protein and fluids up.
Take care!
Sadie

I eat just about anything.
Usually, breakfast is 4 oz low fat cottage cheese with a slice or two of no sugar added peaches.
Lunch, 3 ounces canned chicken with celery and low fat mayo. Maybe a couple raw veggies.
Snack, protien shake
Dinner, some kind of meat, chicken, turkey, pork, beef, seafood and a veggie. Sometimes a couple spoons of potatoes, or brown rice.
I have only lost 38, so you have me beat. But, I have not gotten sick or anything stuck. So, I will take a slower loss for not being sick.
Continued success,
Wanda
