Topic: RE: ROLE CALL!!! (A couple days late)
Hi Everyone!
I am coming up on 9 weeks since surgery on Wednesday. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. I have started a new job and am now a volunteer assistant zoo keeper at the VIrginia Zoo in addition to running my video production business. Life is great. It's wonderful to have sooooo much energy these days!
Okay here are my stats:
243/199/130
Starting wt./current/goal
Total loss so far: 44 pounds and about 55 inches total
Clothes Size: 16's and some 14's
Struggles last week: didn't feel like eating at all; so I know I did not get in enough protein
Triumphs: Worked out a lot
Goal for this week: get my protein in and continue to work out every day!
Good Luck everyone & keep up the awesome work! Have a fabulous week, losers!

Oh I'm glad to hear that. I had convinced myself that the weight loss was all over for me!

Leslie,
I know your frustration in wanting to be skinny sooner, especially with summer just around the corner! You need to be proud of that 58 pounds!!!!
I've lost a total of 71 pounds. I had a big drop initially, but over the last 10 weeks or so I've lost an average of 2.25 pounds a week. I would say that it would be safe for you to expect your weight lost per week to slow down, and I think that's OK. If you are like me, you must be so glad to not be carrying that extra weight.
I'm a math nerd so I hope the following equation is true:
Slower weight loss = Less likely I'll need plastic surgery!
Glad to hear you're doing well in the "biggest loser" club.

Great points Robin!!! I've noticed especially a noticible visible difference in Jodell when she says she hasn't been losing any weight, or is on a plateau. When you meet up with someone who hasn't seen you in a little while, they can see the difference. I've had 2 coworkers who I have minimal contact with stop me in the hall this last week because they can't get over the difference since my surgery!
Chin up everyone, and focus on healthy!

Hi there!
337/266/205
Total weight loss 71 pounds
Waist size reduction 52" to 42"
Good things this week: Bought a new scale. Had alot more choices in scale purchases now that I'm well under the 300 pound mark. New scale works like a charm!
Something I'm looking forward to: in the next week or two I hope to go over the 75 pounds lost. This is a major milestone for me!
Jodell is now at the 40 pounds lost. In case you are new, Jodell had her RNY done on 3-27-07. This means we have lost a combined 111 pounds!
Look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing!

Topic: RE: what are you eating?
I feel very lucky. I hope I feel that way in the future. I can eat anything I want. I haven't tried sugar but everything else is going down fine.
I might not be losing as fast as everyone else, but I have not gotten anything stuck or sick on anything.
I eat all meats and veggies. I have had a little pasta and some breads. Mostly whole wheat with no problems.
My typical day might be four ounces of low fat cottage cheese with a couple of no sugar added peaches.
A couple of slices of turkey lunch meat or canned chicken and some raw veggies with fat free dip.
Dinner will be some kind of meat (pork, chicken, turkey, beef). I eat chicken a lot, with a veggie and maybe a little mashed potatoes.
I have lost 36 pounds and 24 inches in two months. I wi**** was more but it's better then before the surgery.
Take care,
Wanda
