Congrats Kristy. Im proud of you and your loss. I had my surgery april 27th and I am down 138lb as of this morning. Doesnt it feel great. As for the hair loss, I know how frustrating it can be. Try eating more protein. I eat a lot of jerky, and so far (knock on wood) I have had NO hair loss. I concider myself one of the lucky ones. Keep up the great work "bony".

Please do not get discouraged.....would you like a plateu buster????take this advice and watch the scales move again..I had surgery on April 11th. I hit a plateau 4 months after words and have done this ever since and it will work but you have to work the program...
in the beginning of the week,,weather it be a monday or a sunday...go back to the very basic of yor diet. liquid only for one week..that can be any cream soup, broth, coffee, tea, yogurt any thing that was considered liquid.
Then week two go back to eating just a 1/2 cup no more than that of soft foods...cottage cheese, mased potatoes and so on soft only plys liquid...
week 3....ground diet.....anthing that can be tolerated ground down...taco meat, meat loaf, such like that...no more than a half a cup per meal.....6 times a day.....
week 4...eat what you are eating now business as usual....plus get in all your water through out the day and watch the pounds fall off of you..
you will be amazed when you retrain your little pouchie how well it responds...please email me if you have any questions I will be glad to walk you through it day by day if I have to....we all need encouragement...i have lost well over 130 lbs doing this and have not plateaud since....
yoou will be glad to give it a try...
good luck

Congrats Vicki. I too had surgery in april, and so far I am down 136lbs since surgery. This has been one of the hardest and greatest experiences of my entire life. Lots of wow moment, and some not so wow moments (the barfing). I know that this time next year i will be exactly where I want to be, and sooooo much healthier and happier. Keep up the terrific work, and you will get to where you want to be soon.

Yes, I have lost 114 lbs since my surgery in April. I have lost 153 since my first consult in January. There have been lots of WOW moments, lots of changes, and lots of compliments, but the best is the reduced meds and improved health. Also, I have been on oxygen for several years and my need for it has so decreased that my doc says within a few months I will not need it at all. What a great year this has been!! Hope you all are having as great a time as I am. Hugs, Vicki/fluttrbye

I've been baking cookies for Christmas parties and I've eaten at least two dozen in the past couple days. Yesterday I only ate cookies and popcorn. I don't know what the hell my problem is but I wi**** would go away. I'm at eight months and am (was) eight pounds away from the "century" mark. Maybe it's the holiday but I sincerely miss eating as much as I want this month. I hate this.
