Girl, I am so sorry it was your one year mark yesterday. I wanted to come here and let you know how proud I am of you. You don't know it, but I love spending time with you by reading your profile. Carol, I can relate kinda .... Today I was out and about walling the shopping malls and Dang I swore I could have blown the world away with .... FARTS... Oh God I had gas so bad... and actually its been for the last couple day... I got home here and was think what it could be and I think I have pin pointed it out. Its MILK... I have been mixing my protien shakes with 1% milk and dang I have wind.. LOL! But I do not have the pain.. Just lots of gas...
Hope you can find a cure..

Has anyone else experienced terrible gas pain?
There are days I hurt so bad I think Im having a Heart attack. I can feel it gurgle around, and get stuck under my ribs. The first time it happened I was out at dinner. I stopped mid sentence and my husband almost called 911.
All I can do is lay on my side and ....yes sports fans....FART!
It eventually goes away, but GEEEZZZ, I thought childbirth was bad!

I started at 345...Im now 203. I wanted to be under 200 for my birthday in march...no luck!!! Ive been at 207-203 for 3 months!!!!! 
GOD its depressing!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I look at it realistically Ive lost 142 lbs in less than a year...not to shabby I think...then that little voice says "Yeah but what have you done lately"...OH SHUT UP!!!!
We have to realize our bodies just do things it's own way. As long as I know Im eating right and exercising it will come off eventually. Plus I'll lose 30 lbs in excess skin too YIPPEE!!!!

ALice you are doing a great job. I too have been stuck at the same weight for weeks now and I was feeling like this is it. I'm done. No more weight loss for me. And then this morning I stepped on the scale and I have lost weight. It started again. It will start for you again also. Just be patient.I am less concerned about the weight loss and more concerned about the size I am wearing. I've been stuck in a size 18 for almost 2 months. That's frustrating but I just keep telling myself I have lost 120lbs. If you think about it You and I Both have lost a WHOLE Person. That in itslef is amazing. So Congradulations on the weight loss and just be positive. Keep yer chin up Sista!!!

Congratulations!!!
My surgiversary is next Friday (4/21) and as I start to reflect on the past year, I look around in amazement.
Life is for the living, and I feel like I'm living again. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that having this procedure saved my life.
I'm healthy again, no longer taking high blood pressure pills, flirting with high cholesterol and dealing with horrible skin issues.I'm able to run after my pre-schooler, walk for miles, run a bike again, shop in regular stores and purchase clothing in regular sizes.
Gone are the days of being out of breath, tired and unable to do what I wanted.
The rest of my life will be an example of what faith, determination and the miracles of modern medicine can do for someone.
I've had my low points, don't get me wrong; there were times when, in the middle of an anxiety attack, I was screaming into bed pillows, wanting the procedure to be reversed b/c I couldn't eat to hide the pain. But the high points and the new discoveries about myself, far outnumber the lows.
Wishing all April '05 babies continued success on this journey....
