Topic: RE: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
I had a doctor's appointment with my PCP today and told her that I wanted her to look at my big toes because it appears that I have a red ball on the side of my big toe. Well, she carefully examined them and told me it is just bone!! I never suspected that. I have never seen bones in my feet before. Wow!! I can see bones.....

Topic: RE: pg test came back neg...
The at home pregnancy test can definately be wrong. I had a pregnancy test done at a hospital that said I was not pregnate, then found out 2 weeks later thru that same hospital that I was definately pregnant and 6 weeks along. Sometimes its hard to tell with taking a test earlier on. If you have any thoughts that you may be pregnant I would definately consult a physician. With all your symptoms, it definately sounds like pregnancy is a possibility. Have you been nauseated??? It cant hurt to give your dr a call. How long ago was your surgery?? Have you missed a period? or are you regular since surgery? sorry if this is personal, but its all questions that your dr would ask. Are you hoping to be a mommy?? If so, then I wish you luck on your journey. Either way, I hope things work out for you.

Topic: RE: Question for you April Baby's
Gina,
I'm glad you posted. Yes, I am also concerned about losing to much weight. I'm also 5'2" and am down to 121 lbs. My PCP told me I need to stop losing, but I told him I'm not dieting or exercising other than walking. When I asked him how to stop, he jokingly said to order a Big Mac once per week and go to Pizza Hut once a week.
I had this concern prior to surgery and my surgeon told me that my body will stop losing when it's ready. Not to worry about losing to much. Well, now I'm beginning to worry. I'm actually looking forward to my visit with him next month so I can voice my concerns (again).
Although, I'm very happy that I'm now in a size 4, but I'm already finding it difficult to get a good selection of 4 short/petite pants. I don't want to go any smaller, but I definately would like to maintain.

What is it with 11months out and losing 6lbs this week??? I did too!!!
I'm hoping I can keep it up! I've got another 64lbs to goal and I'm hoping I can hit that this year!
My wow moments for the week:
I bought some clothes from Old Navy online. I bought a 22 pants figuring they'd be a little snug, but ok. Well... they accidentally shipped a 20.. AND THEY FIT!!! HOLY COW!
Another is that I got on the scale this morning and it said 249! I'm finally below 250! I haven't been there since junior high school!
Have a great week!

Topic: RE: Question for you April Baby's
Ah, now I understand! No, I'm not worried about losing too much weight...I just love food too much for that. I could easily add in protein drinks and double my calories if need be.
As for bashing, I would never do that! There are so many different ways of doing this, who is to say which is right? As long as you are happy, that is all that counts in my book. I wish my surgeon was more like yours! It's really hard to follow his rules. Last night I ate a steak and I didn't weigh it and I *know* it was more than 4 oz.
I believe that others have said to add more food when they're at a standstill because sometimes your body is in starvation mode if you aren't eating enough.
I certainly don't have that problem!

Topic: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
Good Morning Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and have a great week ahead of you. Don't work too hard this week.
My WOW moment(s) this week were:
Going to a birthday party and another WLS friend telling me I needed to eat some birthday cake to gain weight.
Thanks, Diana that made my day!!!
Drayton McClane (my BIG boss, he owns the Houston Astro's) came in to our office this week and I was working with this book and he told me the book was almost as big as me.
Tracy (my boyfriend) has a motorcycle and I swore my butt was too big to fit on it. Well, it fit!!!
And last but, not least. Being 11 month's out and losing 6 lbs this week!
So, come on out
and share your WOW moment(s) with us. We love
to hear from you and cheer you on. What were YOUR WOW moment(s) this week?

I guess I should have clarified.
I got in a hurry. I meant has anyone got concerned they might lose too much weight?
To be honest with you Deanna, I have never counted calories because my surgeon told me not too worry about it. In fact, (no bashing please) he told me I didn't have to count calories, fat, carbs, or anything. His protocol is alot different then other surgeons but, he is VERY strict in the beginning. Your on a 12 week liquid diet after WLS. He takes everything away and gradually adds it back into your diet. Right now I pretty much eat what I want. No sweets, nothing fried, and very little bread.
A typical day for me before this week was:
B-Protein Bar
L-2-3 oz chicken and a green leafy vegetable
D-chicken, fish, or some type of meat and green leafy vegetable
This week:
B-banana or yogurt
Mid Morning-nuts
L-2-3 oz chicken and green leafy vegetable
Mid Afternoon-nuts or protein bar or protein shake
D-chicken, fish or some type of meat and green leafy vegetable
The only conclusion I can come too is that I ate a little more and it shocked my body so to speak which kicked in the weight loss!?!
Maybe I wasn't eating enough before!?!

Which part? I'm not at goal so not that.
My weight loss is definitely at a standstill for the past 60 days. How many calories are you eating? What were you eating before?
My surgeon never wants us to do anything but 3 meals a day, 4 oz. per meal.
Sigh!
