Topic: Hey Gina! I've Got Some WOW Moments!!!!
I have a few WOW moments to share today. Yesterday while looking in the mirror after my shower I noticed 2 more bones I'd never seen before. Below my collar bone is another bone. WOW! Whoulda thunk it? I guess maybe it's the breast bone? Course my breasts are NOWHERE near it. Ha-Ha! Well there are 2 there that I can see now below the collar bone.
My other WOW moment is that my wedding band that only just began to fit several months back is now on the verge of sliding off at any given moment. It's always sliding back and forth. Looks like I may have to get it cut soon.
Last one is that I recalculated my weight loss and am now at a 90% loss of what I expected to lose! Yea me!

I too started having migrains after wls. I was told by my dr that it could be several different things. One of the main things that causes the headaches after wls is the fake sugars that we are getting into our systems with all the sugar free foods and stuff we are intaking. The fake sugars cause headaches, and can also cause diarhea...fun fun. As for the weight loss, I know it can be hard when you hit those plataues, but starving yourself is not the answer. By doing that, the first time that you actually do eat something, you body will hold onto every single calorie because you have been depriving it of what it needs. Try eating like 6 or 7 small meals thru out the day. try snacking on protiens (like jerky and nuts) just try switching things up. Hopefully this will help. I am one of the fortunate ones and havent really hit any major plataues yet. I am out 10 months and down 165 lbs. I had a LONG way to go though from the beginning. i started out at 420lbs...so I am greatful for any and all weight that I have lost so far. Just keep your head up and try to look at it this way. Even with all you have lost so far, your better off than where you were when this journey started. Dont get discouraged, it will come off eventually.

Hi there
You will have those weeks
yes I said weeks were you will not have weight loss. Take it from someone who did not lose for almost a month. But I realized I had to do something different. Food was not the issue for me but I needed to excercise and excercise I did. I just went to the gym 1 day a week at first and used the eliptical. Then went and worked on the nautlis machines. Let me tell you I saw the difference in my body shape my clothes size went down 1 size but my weight went down about 5 pounds in a month. So you have to decide what will make you happy and remember we all have setbacks but this surgery works.

Topic: RE: Hit 140 Loss Today!
Hi Amber,
I can totally relate to what you are saying. I asked my surgeon this exact question, "What do I do when I'm done losing?" His answer was you live live.
It's almost like you feel lost in a sense and don't know where to turn. You work so hard to have WLS and so hard to achieve your goals it's like you don't know what to do with yourself once your there are almost there. All I can say, is I guess you give back what was given to you, as far as support and being a mentor for others.
As far as skin, I hear ya sister!!! I used to read the boards and think why are they complaining about lose skin at least they had the surgery. Well, I am here to tell you
I now worry about skin issues too. I guess we will look forward to PS and then life the "American Dream"
Good luck and if you figure out those answers or I do, I will let you know!!!!

Congrats on your weightloss! I checked out your website and I like your weightloss journal. One of these days, I'd like to learn how to do the html code for that.
Keep up the great work!

Topic: RE: Today is My 10 Month Anniversary
Thanks Helen. I kept losing and gaining the same 5 lbs for the last 6 weeks. I didn't think I would ever get below 200 lbs, but I made it.
