Topic: RE: OK April Losers how much have you lost???
I have lost 191 pounds since April. I can hardly believe it. I still want to lost another 15 pounds or so. But right now I am just shooting for a normal BMI.

Hi Jen, You look just great. You look soo much younger too. Isn't it amazing the difference that weight loss makes. You are absolutely beautiful. You were beautiful before too, but the smile just says more in the new picture. Congratulations. Judy
Topic: RE: Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
I haven't been on here in forever (damn weird password I can't figure out how to change!). I had a wow moment this weekend...
I went to a party where we were talking about dieting and weight loss. I didn't know anyone in the room at the time and none of them knew I had WLS. Weights came up and I realized that I wasn't the largest in the room. It was SO weird! I told one of them about my WLS and that I used to weigh 400lbs and she refused to believe me
I had to drag one of my friends out on the balcony to confirm it. It was funny.
My other wow moment this week was realizing that I've lost 140lbs since my highest and that even though I'm still in plus sizes... I feel "normel" there was no social anxiety at the party mentioned above.
It's been a great 9 1/2 months!

Catastrophizing is not only a word, it is something at which I excel. It ranks right up there with my other quirks such as superior visualization skills and low vomit threshold.
I ate two cheese sticks for breakfast and have water at my elbow and am trying to get back on the narrow road to success.
Thanks,
Lynda

Good Morning Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful week and an even better weekend. I haven¡¦t been on the boards much this past week because I started my new job, I¡¦m happy to say I like it.
It¡¦s Monday morning and it¡¦s time fess up! Who had a WOW moment(s) this week?
My WOW moment(s) this week were:
Talking to a co-worker and mentioning something to her about wanting to lose 20 more lbs. She looked at me and said girl, you don¡¦t have 20 lbs to lose. That made my day!
Sunday I went over to my sister¡¦s house and my brother-in-law told my sister that I was finally the ¡§LITTLE¡¨ sister. (I am the youngest and always dreamed of actually being the little sister)
My two niece¡¦s told me I was small, and that my sister and I looked like twins.
So, what were your WOW moment(s)? We
love to hear them, so come on out
and brag about yourself.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
Gina

Hi Lynda,
I hear you...
I too have slumped the last month or so.. I haven't gained but loss was minimal..
Is Catastrophizing a word?
I know the discouragement is hard.. at least for me.. Just keep trying up the protein and water I have been told will help..

I was the biggest "*****" raising my children and I'll tell you I am now the proud mother of two productive and honorable members of society.
My daughter is 25, married to an Air Force serviceman, she is in her last semester of medical school, and is an active volunteer. She's turned into an angel of mercy. This was the child who barely spoke to me without rolling her eyes at me from age 14-16!
My son is 22 and serving proudly in the US Navy. He's been to the Persian Gulf and may return with his carrier group soon. He is a Petty Officer *****gularly gets excellent performance reviews.
You stick to your guns and your values and don't let other people compromise your expectations in your son's behavior. My kids thank me now because I expected much from them. Tough love and being a good example of practicing what you preach is the best you can do for your children.

Topic: Post Op Planner question
I posted this on the main board but am posting here too wondering if there is a nine and ten month slump or something?
I'm 9.5 months postop and have fallen behind a month and a half with the numbers on the post op planner thingy. I know it's just a possibility guide and I know my setback is my own stupid fault through poor choices the past couple months. What I'm wondering is... can one really get back on track?
I'm feeling very discouraged. Some days I think I've stretched my pouch to where it's no longer going to work. Is that possible or am I just catastrophizing?

Size 10 skirt now and medium sweater.. just came back from Target. I am still in shock. Tried the 12 on and it fell right off me. Single digits here I come. Hard to believe I use to be a 22-24 less then a year ago. Lbs still pretty much coming off slowly but consistently - a healthy 1-2lbs a week.
Hope everyone is doing well!
