Topic: Calling All Challengers !!!!
Hi all, Sorry I haven't been on here earlier but this has been a busy week so far. Last night I had a support group meeting. Tonight my Brownie troop had a meeting and then I went to the Y and joined. Tomorrow I meet with a personal Trainer. I get 3 free visits. I'm going to exercise tomorrow and get in the pool. Hope all is doing well on week 2 or 1 where ever you are in this challenge. If you haven't posted your weight for the week please do so. Good or bad we want to hear so we know how all is doing. remember you are not alone. We are all in this journey together. See all lighter. Joanne

Hi Helen! Yeah, I've lost 129 pounds from my highest weight which was in 1999. I started Aitkin's (never heard of low carb before that) and lost 130 pounds over a two year period and then I maintained that over almost two years. THEN I got divorced and depress ate myself back up 65-75 pounds, battled that for a while and got approved for WLS. My consult for that was at 244 and since then I have lost 63 pounds. So I am basically back where I had gotten myself the first time. It's kind of funny but I've noticed that if I use the Weight Loss Planner on this site and punch in starting weight of 244~ I am really running sadly behind. However, if I punch in the starting weight of 310, I have been dead on target every month~ if I just pretend that I picked up at the end of month three which was where I *should* have reached 244. Maybe bodies remember and simply insist on losing in a set pattern? One of these days, your body is going to have to give up and let go of that weight! (That's what I keep telling mine. )

Whoo hoo! Way to go! Everyone is about equal here percent wise. I've been watching the platau buster challenge with interest. I probably should have started with you guys but I've been doing my old gold standard of high protien/low carb/high fluid and that has worked well to undo the damage of three weeks worth of fudge and Christmas cookies. *sigh*

Wow! Once again, almost twins with the percent! I think all of us might have a shot of hitting goal weight before our 1 year. Or at least you guys do~ I'm still losing at a snail's pace.

Hey, almost the same percents and pounds to go! You are doing so wonderful! For me, the goal weight might shift as I go, I just figure that 150 = a normal BMI for me. Thanks for answering!

I've lost 92.38% of my excess weight. I was 255 pounds on 4/21/05, my surgery date. As of yesterday morning, I was 158; I weigh myself almost every day, but the # that counts is the Monday morning weight. I have 8 pounds to lose...
