HA i find the time when i get home from work and dinner is ready to be a very difficult time as well. I usually put out a bowl of raw carrots and munch on those or nuts or something. I just had breakfast and i'm doing well! I'm on my second 24ounce diet iced tea (i've got like 34 ounces all up and through me already)
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to not feel alone on this part of the journey. I have no idea why but i'm starving today, is it because i'm carb addicted and now that the carbs are missing my body craves them. is it because I have not gone to bed yet due to a little boy with horrible night terrors, is it because it's all in my head and I need to step away from t his computer and go visit patients or colleagues? I'm not sure of the answer i just know i'm hungry!

HI..
I'm right there with you!!! I was so bummed last night! I stepped on the scale after my shower, which I usually don't weigh at night,I weigh too much!!
Anyway it read 185,I was so excited!! So I get up this morning and do my usual weigh in and what the f**k it said 190!!!!! Must have been eating in my sleep!!!
So I have jerky to chew on and my 3 bottles of water and a salad for lunch....hopefully I do ok when I get home, thats my worse time. Seems I start grazing and don't stop until bedtime!! Will need to eat supper right after work and then maybe go to bed!!

Welcome to Monday Morning my Snackin' Sistah, what will today bring you? I just made myself 24ounces of decaf iced tea and I'm going to sip that with my supplements and vitamins (what's the difference between the two?). I went out and bought salt and vinegar almonds and smokehouse almonds and I plan on incorporating these snacks into my day (i've got BAD pms this week and it's lasting for a while). For breakfast i'm having a scrambled egg with some grilled ham, snack will be a protein shake, lunch will be turkey and s.f. bread and butter pickles, snack 2 will be some cheese sticks or the almonds i'm not sure. Dinner is a tricky one for me, I am not sure what to make.....let's say a stir fry of ground chicken and sauteed cole slaw mix with some soy sauce (very very filling) and then a fudge bar before bed. I'm not sure what that is calorie wise but i'll plug it into fit day and see how i do. I think once I start seeing the numbers on paper it'll be easier to figure out where i can cut and where i need to add stuff depending on my hunger!
What are YOU going to do today to stay on the straight and narrow?
Hugs Dee, ANDI
ps. i've got (3) tiger striped kittens and they are the cutest little bundles of energy!

Hello there Dear Andi! May I join you on "Start over Monday?" I managed to get ahold of peanut M&Ms over the weekend and they forced themselves down my throat! Ha, ha!
Anyway, I have a brand new exercise plan from my fitness coach to start on Monday. So, what better way to start fresh on my eating too? I need to get my meals planned again and make sure I have protein first with every meal. I think your plan of packing your meals and snacks is a great one ... it's easier to make sure you eat the right stuff when it's already right there for you.
So, Monday is a fresh start ... let's make it a good one! I know you'll do great ... it sounds like you have a great plan of action!

I did something Friday that I would have never had the confidence to do prior to WLS surgery. I drove a four cylinder race car on our local dirt track. It was just an old Chevy Cavalier but I had SO MUCH FUN! It was the funnest thing that I have ever done and like I said, I know I wouldn't have had the confidence to try it before losing 146 pounds. I finished 7th out of 12 cars and didn't hit even one person. I didn't spin out or lose control of the car either. But I did feel myself sliding into those corners. My jaws hurt so bad from smiling so much after the race. Now if I can just get the hubby to buy me a car!!!! Will post pictures of my racing adventure on my profile later.

I have a suggestion to remind yourself to drink (or eat if you are planning in snacks)
- have a timer with you and set it for every half hour or hour. That way, each time the timer goes off you know to have a drink/snack. Just think, if you set it for every half hour and have 4oz of water each time, by the end of the day you will have got more than enough water in.
Just remember not to take it into meetings with you or you might get some funny looks
I'm ok with drinking, but am going to use it for snacks to stop me grazing. I think I need to eat more frequently with better choices to maybe get my metabolism up and running. I'm going to try it anyway, and eat a bite of something every hour.
Good luck Andi
