I think I've been drinking too fast. My doctor was upset that I wasn't drinking enough - 40 oz. on a good day. The last couple of days I've been trying to drink more but now I'm feeling stuffed even a little naseaus. (???) Do you think that I can do damage to my pouch by drinking too much too fast? I don't feel like I'll get the water in if I don't constantly sip. AUGHHH!!!!

The water is the hard part! I hve been blessed by having no complications or problems, no bad reactions to foods. However, I must say, it's hard to drink all that. They tell you not to drink with meals, and not to drink about a half hour before or after. That is eating up a lot of time not drinking! I am with you on this one. I want to just take a bottle of water and down it to get it out of the way, but I know we can't. I don't think we would cause harm to ourselves, but I do think it would come back up. YUCK! Well, good luck and let me know if you come up with a solution!! Rossana

I too get nauseated if i drink too much or too fast. Especially if i take too big of gulps they kind of hurt. I agree that they tell us we can't eat before after or while we eat and that we shoudl have 6 small meals a day. Well i am no math wiz but that does not leave a lot of time for drinking. It is frustrating. But do the best you can. I do try to drink a cup as soon as i wake up and take it liek medicine. Just so i know i am starting the day out right. I have noticed it really does help me not eat as much. On days i feel like i ate like a pig if i look back i did not do all my drinking. I have often wondered if my body is craving water sometimes and all i know is my belly is craving somethign and i assume it is food and not liquid. I know after i post a few time you all are going to petition this web site to get a spell checker. I just don't have the patience to go back over and proof read. HA

I was thinking about purchasing a watch that vibrates every 10 minutes. I never did, because I tend to have to drink my water before and after meals... so for about 5 hours of the day, I can't even drink water! Anyway I drink more in the morning and at night prior to going to bed. I wouldn't push the consumption of water at one time. I realize it is jus****er, but I too am scared of stretching my pouch and the stoma (entrance into the intestines)
