Surgery tomorrow.... laxative possibly not working??? Please respond! :help:

Too anyone that has been through this.... I took the Magnesium Citrate Laxative yesterday morning. I never had urges to rush to bathroom. I didn't spend the whole day on the toilet. I drank 60oz of water last night in the space of an hour trying to get my "poo" to run clear and instead spent the next two hours peeing. As of tonight I still have liquid "poo" color and am thinking of redoing the laxative. Does anyone out there know... is what I am clearing from my bowels supposed to be clear???!!!! My husband doesn't think that is natural given that bile is colored. Please help, I'm not looking forward to the nauseaus (sic?) period after I take the laxative again....

Well, this is probably too late, but I hope you didn't take the laxative again. I'm sure you are cleaned out already. Cindy
