June 17th

I was approved by insurance last week.

I will be having Laproscopic Proximal RNY at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN at 1pm on June 17, 2009.  I am SUPER excited!!!  I start the required 2-week liquid diet on June 3rd and then attend the Pre-op class on June 4th from 5:30-8:30pm at Abbott.

My surgeon is Dr. Raymond Drew.

I'm a day behind you!  I'll be having a gastric bypass on 6/18 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Good luck with your liquid diet...keep us posted on everything!

Okay, this has changed.  I got a call from my surgeon's office Monday because they had an opening and I took it.  Here's my new stuff!

I am having my Lap RNY gastric bypass at 7:30am on Wednesday, May 27th of 2009.  I started my liquid diet yesterday (omg I miss chewing stuff!).  My surgeon is still Dr. Raymond Drew. 

I don't have time to do the Pre-op class so I had a phone session with one of the nurses today while I was at work.  LOTS of info to absorb but I promised myself I'd be ready :)
