thank you shoediva and laura. how did you do with your water intake this weekend?
last week i was bouncing between 198-194. this morning i was 191... i dont know how that happened but i will take it. this means i am 3lbs from 80 lbs lost. my surgeon wanted to see me hit 100lbs lost by june. so i am hoping i can jump start this. i also went from mildly active to now walking 3 miles a day. not hardcore but 1.62 miles to work from where my ride drops me off (i commute almost 2 hours from home) and 1.62 miles back to my ride. i could take the subway but i have decided to save my money and walk it. i have been doing it for 2 weeks though so maybe my body is just now starting to catch up?!
i will keep you updated.
thanks again for the encouragement.
only 50lbs to go before im close to or at goal.

Topic: Another Surgery for me..
I am trying to gear up for having my surgery on Friday. I am having a possible hysterectomy. They told me that they won't be able to tell me if I can keep my ovaries until they get in there and see what's what. Ugh.. I so dread this you guys. They are using the same laproscopic incisions as they did for the WLS. I am a bit nervous. Not nearly as bad as I was for the WLS surgery. But I am worried about going under again and I worry because my blood pressure has been pretty low.

I'll be focusing on my fluids and also protein intake leading up to the surgery and after.

I am right there with ya! I have downfalls too! And I can eat tons more than I should be able to eat. I went in to the Dr. on Friday and they were really happy with my weight loss. They told me that I am right on track.

The Nutritionist told me that Carbs can start a vicious cycle. It's like if you were an alcoholic and say i just want to have one drink. And it leads to 5 drinks then 7 and so on.. It's our addiction. We need to avoid them at all costs. The fact you are saying how badly you want this shows that you are striving to overcome it.

Be strong!

Ms Georgia - I LOVE my turkey jerky!  The Trader Joesnhas lower sodium, too, which is good for me because nothing makes me retain water like a little bit of salt.
Luv ya, girlie!

It's going to be alright.  More than likely you have not broken anything.  But in order to get yourself back in the groove you have to break the cycle.  Your answer to your problem is in your post.  "I really want this to be successful for me."  In order to do that you have to take charge of you.  Throw away the peanutbutter, and the bread and for good measure the jelly, too!  What ever it takes!  You have the power to make the changes.  Don't let this opportunity pass you by.  YOU CAN DO IT!

Let bygones be bygones and learn from your mistakes.  It is a LONG journey and you are only in the beginning!  It is not too late to change your behavior one meal at a time.  Try to get yourself back to basics.  Sometimes I tell myself that I won't have something NOW which helps take away the feelings of depravation that spur me into stuffing my face constantly.  Or, try to get yourself so busy that it isn't convenitent to eat.  Anything will do to break the cycle you're in.  Then you can look at things with fresh eyes and make better chices!

Good luck and keep coming in for support!  We need each other.
