Topic: RE: Fat free refried beans
When I went for my 2 week post op I was told to try Wendy's chili. It is low fat and full of protein. It was wonderful! Of course the .99 size is 8 ounces so it was almost 3 meals. Refried beans with cheese are another thing that are really good.

I couldn't walk before my surgery from the van to the store because of the pain in my knees. My doctor tells me to find a place to swim! I hope as soon as I can eat and drink again I will feel up to going to gym and just treading water. Wondering too if the motiviation will come once the movement starts.

Hi Traci, I will be returning about Sept 28, one month after surgery. I think I will try to go in a couple of half days that last week I am off. I am a teacher and need to get my energy up for the little darlings! Cindy

My surgery was 8/23 and I was doing great until this weekend. I started puking up blood and so I called the doctor. He said to stay on clear liquids until Monday and they were going to get me set up for a endoscopy. At my two week post op visit last Thursday I was 25 lbs down. Wow. I have an appointment on Tues at 1:30 for a review by the doctor who will be doing the scope. This whole thing sounds like oh so much fun!

I too am tired all the time. I am taking my vitamins but having problems eating. I have been taking a 90 min nap in the early afternoon and that has been getting through the evenings.

It depends on whether you had open or lap. I had open and was told 4-6 weeks. Given that I am two weeks out and feelilng like a wet dishrag, I am not upset about this. Talk to the doc. He/she is the expert on this and knows your case better than anyone. Good luck, Trish

I have been back at work for quite awhile now! i returned part time a week after surgery and full time the second week. It was hard becuase I was SO tired all day, but my energy is finally returning and i can make it through the day AND still have energy when I get home! YOU should take as much time as you and your doctor think is necessary!
