Sorry so late in posting as i just saw this posting. ;) Ok had surgery on August 2nd and am almost 5 weeks post op. I have lost 25lbs since surgery and 34lbs from highest. Week 3 I had no energy and week 4th I have been sick. When I do have energy I am on fire. Then it feels like someone came and snapped up every drop of energy. See my profile for a detailed report on the past month. I was given 6 weeks to be off so I still have 2 more and then I go back to work. I am bored out of my mind- I miss my friends and not work itself. I am also scared that I wont have enough energy to work my 12 hour shifts at the hospital. I know fear is ruling me- will continue to increase energy level. Tanya 252/261/227/goal

I called the doctor and he said that I was impacted, not constipated, he told me to use the glycerin suppository, and it worked, so I am fine now. Thanks.... I just wanted to post in case someone else was having this problem, call your doctor, don't take my advice...... but I know the glycerin is safe anyway.... but I wasn't constipated, because I was passing small pieces..... gross I know! michelle +back in the business of pooing+

Congratulations! You're doing great! I had surgery 8/1 too, and am definitely having trouble remembering to chew and to take a long enough break in between bites. I am down 44 pounds so far Unfortunately, I have had 3 episodes where I've had that pain of the food kind of sitting stuck waiting to go down. I've not vomitted yet, so I figure I'm ahead of the game

Glad you are home and feeling well. You can come and cook for me anytime - I could never get my hubby to do it! His idea of "cooking" is ordering pizza!! Immediately after surgery - like the first week or so - I could do about 6 or 8 ounces an hour. They would not discharge me unless I could do 4 an hour, so I worked really hard at it. Now, if I'm sitting with a bottle in my hand, I can probably drink the 16.9 ounce bottle in about an hour (I'm one month post op). I think everyone is different - I could definitely drink more hot tea than cold water in the beginning. Now, I like the cold stuff better.

Hello Friends~ My LAP RNY was 8/31. I came home 48 hours later. I have to poop. Any suggestions? I am in pain from sitting and pushing on the pot all day! Other than that, all is well. Hope my 3 surgery sisters are doing well, and they are able to poop at will! Please check in ladies..... I have been thinking about you all. Michelle Brennan NJ

Hi all....I had surgery Monday 8/28....first day on the computer that ole chair here at the house isnt that comfortable and my lap sites are still sore.... How is everyone doing? I myself starting eating some mushy foods like a bite of a banana...runny grits, runny oatmeal...etc.... When I say EAT that means....baby spoon bites, maybe 4 in an hour..lol...Im so scared of stretching out my pouch..lol I started my protein too...I actually missed it! lol Water...well I made the mistake of taking one GUL*****rmal sip once and wont do that again...OUCH so I sip SLOWLY and cant seem to sip more than 32 ounces...but my protein counts as liquid too, so Im trying. I must say I have enjoyed my naps.... I walked alot today..went to walmart to just browse around cause yesterday I just vegged all day long.... We all need to stay tight and compare notes...isnt it nice to have people going thru the exact same thing as you and be able to do that....AWESOME! God is amazing!

Hey guys...finally the post I was looking for....my surgery was Monday 8/28....and I was told to stay on clear liquids until my 2 wk followup appt....but I know hardly no one does that....so on day 3 1/2 I started experimenting.... I dont want to go against what the doctor says but I know others who have done the same and have him and have had success so I must admit my biggest fear is feeling FULL or stretching my pouch....I havent felt FULL as of yet... So far I have had today....4 bites of banana..chewed to mush...one bite at a time throughout the day....5 baby spoons of oatmeal for breakfast...(runny)....a total of a half of cup of sf pudding....2 fudge bars and one popscicle......then 2 oz of protein made with skim milk....* I had to start it...I have actually missed it* I sip on water all day but not enough I dont think....I carry around a 16 oz bottle and try to get 2 in each day....but Im scared to sip too big, so they are small sips, guess I should attach it to my hip huh? Funny how doctors tell you different things...

Topic: 1 wk out tomorrow!
Hello my friends....so sorry I have been MIA since I had my surgery last Monday....my computer chair at home isnt all that comfortable and I dreaded having to sit in it...so I delayed coming online. I havent had any real pain at all....I would say slight discomfort at my lap. sites.....and some heavy discomfort with gas pains but nothing really intense! So I am blessed! Surgery went great...my doctors are awesome as I knew they would be going in....the day of surgery I was AWESOME and walkin up a storm then the next morning hit and well I felt I had been hit by a bus...lol.... I didnt struggle with the ice chips thing at all...it was fine. Since I have been home, I stayed on liquids the first 3 days, well clear liquids then advanced to trying some full liquids like runny grits I could drink...etc... I must say that sf pop's have been a lifesaver....I have started drinking my protein.....I hope that is ok....I really missed it so I started back early... I have tried runny oatmeal, bananas and sf pudding...all eating with a baby spoon...Im so scared to over do it...but honestly I havent felt FULL signals yet....nothing strange except when I took one gulp of ICE COLD WATER...I was laying on the sofa and gulped in place of sip like I should and hmmm....I got the heebie geebies for a moment afterwards...maybe that is what they talk about. Im so scared of stretching my pouch that I wont eat anything like 1/2 cup they tell me too......I just sip ALL day on water, then protein and eat bites here and there of bananas and stuff.... Anyone else do that this early? I found day 3 to be the one where I missed FOOD.....but that seems to be gone now...so Im good... I so want to make sure of getting the nutrients I need... I just worry cause it takes me all day to sip a bottle of water....so far I cant finish more than 2 16oz bottles of water a day....Im scared to over do it so I sip tiny sips slowly....does that make sense....shouldnt I be getting more than that? Oh well just wanted to check in you guys..missed you while I was away....but so excited to be on the other side....Praise the Lord! He is amazing!

HI Pam, I am still napping too. So jealous you get to eat....I want to chew something so bad...have to settle for ice. I am on clear liquids and protein shakes until my surgery followup appointment on the 14!!!!! I get lots of gas and my spots hurt too....getting better everyday. Struggling to get my water and protein in....so hard when you can only do clear liquids!!! Thank God for Unjury. My stomach swelling is finally going down....thought they had put a baby inside there or something. I was huge. Did anyone have a drain????Whew, when they removed that, I thought that is it....I am dying right here..the worst thing in the world. Heal Fast!!! Traci
