Topic: It's time!
Well tomorrow is my day to join the "Loosing Side" the past few days have been very emotional for me. I think the fear of not really knowing what to expect is what is really bothering me, I'm not afarid to die, but I'm not ready especially when I have this whole new life right in front of me. It's really a shame they don't give you something to relax you for the few days prior to surgery, I'm sure everyone who is prepairing for it could use it lol!
I want to also take this time to wish everyone coming up over the next week a speedy uneventful recovery.

Topic: Successes for tomorrow
May God be with us all tomorrow, and may our surgeries all be successful without complications. I'm wishing everyone well. See ya on the losing side.
Topic: RE: Panic Attacks
Okay....
First: Breathe!
Second: Remember you are nearing your new birthday. This will be the first day of the rest of your life... relax and revel in it.
Third: Rember: God does not put on us more than we can handle. If you couldn't handle this, it would not be happening.
Fourth: You have come this far and everything will work out in the end.
Fifth & Final: Before you know it you will join us on the losers bench and will wonder why you were so worried.
I am getting ready to start my 4th week post op and would not even believe that I had the surgery if not for the small amount of food I can now consume.
Yes, I have been sick... It was all self induced: not chewing good or eating too fast.
No, I have not dumped: I have avoided sugar like the plague.
Down 28 lbs since first weigh in. Down 20 lbs since surgery!! Yeeha!!
Girl, you will be fine... the only regret that I have is not doing it sooner.

Topic: ONE WEEK TO GO 8/28
Well, I'm down to one week to go! (yikes). I'm nervous, scared, and excited. I almost cancelled at my pre-op, but my surgeon reassured everything would be o.k. He was so wonderful, he treated me as if I was a family member, and I feel so lucky and safe to have him as my doctor! I can't recall a doctor every treating me that way. Ever.
To my fellow August 06 alumni, I wish everyone the best, and a speedy, healthy recovery! Game on, this weights gotta go!

Topic: RE: Anyone for 8/25/06?
Leah,
I feel your pain about the preop diet. I have to do a diet for two week too....except I get to have a meal once a day. A lean protein and a salad. The first week I thought I was going to die...I felt faint and dizzy. Had to increase my intake some...hehe!
Week two is better. Really liking my protein shakes...yummy! But the food and the chewing...even better.
Forgot to weigh myself before I started the diet!!! Darn it!
Hugs and my your surgery be trouble free and your recovery fast and painfree!
