Topic: RE: 9 weeks out...What are you guys eating? and whats a good protein bar
Hi Pam,
How are you? Well, I have no problems eating anything. I have tried dessert once simply because someone made it especially for me...and I didn't dump. Other than that I have been eating good healthy foods.
The weight is coming off slowly...I really noticed a change the last two weeks. The scale has moved slowly as well. Surprisingly, my sizes are changing much...other than my shift size. The boobs are going away fast.
People tell me that I should just sit back and enjoy....maybe the extra skin will be less since I am moving slowly.
I use the Adkins Advantage protein bars.
Take care!

Topic: So Tired
I had surgery on August 14, 2006 and I'm so tired all the time anyone have any ideas what I could do to increase energy?
Topic: RE: What did you eat the first time you went out after surgery?
I love lemon pepper! So far I've been able to tolerate most forms of chicken. The drumettes don't give me a problem but I can only eat maybe two and I leave a lot of meat on the bone most times.
When I make the wings at home I just throw them in the oven. I try to use some kind of marinade so that the chicken comes out nice and soft.
I hope you are able to tolerate chicken soon. I know how hard it is when you can't eat something you really like!

Topic: RE: So, who have you told?
I have told everyone. I had an 18 month wait before surgery and I used that time to try weigh****chers and lead a bible study called First Place. I have told everyone I am rebuilding my temple. I want to be healthy enough to serve God anywhere He wants me. So I use every opportunity to tell folks what God is doing in my life. My weight loss is good but not huge numbers so when people ask me every day what i have lost I tell them I have lost high blood pressure, diabetes, and sleep apnea which I did in the first 6 weeks. I have lost about 41lbs. and lots of inches. Everyone has been very supportive and it has impacted several people in my family my son has lost 10lbs my husband has lost nearly 20 and 2 of my sisters are both working out now to get back in shape. So God has used my surgery to inspire others. Hope this helps.
