Topic: RE: Effexor and lap band
Thank you Jessica,
I will call my therapist and ask her about the pill. My quality of life has been the best in the last two years. Nothing upsets me the way it did all my life. I can deal with things much better. I had a miserable childhood and never realized how bad it was till I saw the therapist. So I can't imagine not taking them. Even my husband likes the new me.
Thank You again,
Linda
Topic: RE: JP Drain issues
I'm still draining red liquid...well...between red and dark pink. It's only been around 50 cc a day though. I thought that was a lot till I read yours. I get mine removed Tuesday. Let's hope they'll remove them even with the drainage. Maybe it will lessen by tomorrow for you. Good luck!

Hi Barbara...I so know what you're going thru. I had my surgery 9/18, clear liquids the day before surgery and continuing now. Last nite my mom made spaghetti and meatballs with homemade sauce...guess what I did...yep..had 4 very small pieces of meatball. Chewed them like they were the last meal I'd ever have from now on and spit them out! Was I disappointed in myself? No..know why? Because I'm human that's why. We all have foods that we just have to have. I feel as long as you don't swallow the "bad" foods then the taste of them has to satisfy you. If you can't handle just having the satisfaction...then you have to work on breaking the habit of that particular food. I don't feel bad after having the meatball. My problem is getting the water down...I'm not a juice drinker...neither a milk drinker ( can't have milk without Oreo cookies...feel me? lol) so I'm trying to get my fluids in. I'm still swollen from the surgery and I hope it leaves soon so I can feel better. I don't deal well with the skin on my feet feeling like it's stretched to the farthest it can go! Good luck gurl. You're in my prayers

Hi Chickita, It sounds like you are really ready! I've got all kinds of protein drinks here and bought my vitamins, too. I just wish I was already on the loser's bench!
You look lovely in your photo, by the way. I look forward to hearing about your success in the months ahead.
Good luck on Tuesday!
Blessings to you, Bonnie

Judy, Believe me, I'm anxious, too! I haven't been too nervous until this weekend, now I know the next few days will go very fast. Don't you wish we could just "skip" over in time to the following week?!
Good luck, I know you will do great!
Blessings to you, Bonnie

Barbara,
Don't beat yourself up so. We have all done it. At least you didn't swallow it. I had to be on liquids 10 days before surgery and now 2 weeks after. I had surgery on the 19th. Last night my husband grilled him a steak. Guess what I did, the very same thing you did. I just put a small bite in my mouth and chewed then spit it out.
It was sooo goooooood. I haven't felt really good today maybe that has something to do with it.
My advise just take one day at a time. You didn't learn bad eating habits in a few days and you won't learn new ones in a few days either.
