Topic: HELP...CAN ANYONE EAT AS MUCH AS ME!!!! SCARED...A LIL BIT!
OK, I KNOW I HAVE COMPLAINED A COUPLE OF TIMES REGARDING MY EATING HABITS, BUT THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS!

I DONT EAT MUCH, BUT WHEN I DO EAT, I EAT WELL! I MEAN, IF IM EATING SOME MASHED YAMS, I CAN EAT MAJORITY OF IT, NOT AT ONE TIME, BUT I GET IT DOWN WITHIN A HOUR....I CAN EAT AT LEAST 60% OF MY FOOD WITHOUT LIQUIDS!!! NOW, LET ME SAY THIS...I DON'T EAT FOR THE REST OF THE DAY IF I ATE MASHED YAMS, BUT IT BOTHERS ME THAT I EAT SO MUCH!  I DO GET THAT "FULL" FEELING, BUT THATS AFTER I HAVE EATIN' 60% OF THE MEAL!!!

SHOULD I BE WORRIED??? NOT REALLY WORRIED, BUT CONCERNED?   I HAVE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT ON SEPTEMBER 27TH, BUT I CANT WAIT THAT LONG FOR SOME SORT OF ADVISE! PLEASE HELP...ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE GOOD SUGGESTIONS! THANKS

Topic: RE: Unable to Eat please help!
I have a friend that had the same situation.  She contacted her doctor who prescribed a patch, for nausea, worn behind the ear.  That helped alot.  I also took her Isopure and that helped too.  The Isopure is high in protein, very low in sugar grams and it has the consistancy of water.  She is doing alot better now.

Contact the doctor and the nutritionist, please.

Hang in there, it get's better!

Topic: Unable to Eat please help!
I had the RNY on the 29th of Sept 08.  To this day I can not keep half of my food down. I take a coupe of spoonfuls and then throw up half ever single meal. I can't keep liquids down.

I am having a really hard time even meeting 32oz of fluidds in a day. I have tried the sipping and it doesn't work. I have found a shake that I like but I can't seem to keep the full meal or the liquids down.

Can someone please help? Stressed outta my mind! I hate that I am starting to regret the surgery when I know I need it.

Thank you!!!

Topic: RE: Could I have stalled at 3 weeks - please help!
I've read often on the main boards that stalls are very common at 3 weeks and 3 months.  Don't be discouraged - it's your body going into survival mode and hanging on to anything it can!  I'm sure you will be just fine as long as you're following those rules!  Best wishes, Sandi

It's really common not to lose a lot as you progress from liquids to mushies or mushies to regular food. I don't know why. But everyone is always saying it happened to them.

I think I'm going to be lucky because I did okay week 3 (the most common week to stall) but then I lost almost nothing the first week so maybe that's why.

I'm at the point where I keep forgetting I had the surgery. At least in terms of energy level and doing things.

But in terms of eating, I'm not doing so well. I'm having trouble getting all my fluids in and I'm still working on not eating or drinking too fast. I feel behind in this particular area. I think I will end up staying on mushies longer than the minimum.

I had this alot when I was pregnant or playing sports.  You need to drink more water.  You are getting dehydrated.  The more water you drink the less cramping.  It might take three days for you to get fully hydrated again and the cramps to stop.
