I had my surgery on 11/29/04 and have lost 180lbs so far. Have about 50 more to go to goal. Inches are coming off with all the exercise I have done but lbs are being really slow!!! Gotta lay off the carbs. Back to basics for me for the next few weeks. Lise 11/29/04 409/227/180

Hi All! Congratulations to everyone's success! I had my surgery 11/3/04 and have lost 128 lbs. My weight had slowed down during the summer months, I only lost 28 lbs from June-September. Now that its cooler outside I'm able to exercise more. I've also using weights during my workouts, so my weight loss has increased, I've lost 10 lbs this month already, so hopefully I can keep at this pace and reach my goal weight by the time summer rolls around again. I still have 70 more lbs to go. I have never felt better about myself and I have no regrets! Arecia 358/230/160

Topic: A WONDERFUL WEEK !!!!
Last Monday was my 11 month anniversary!! I usually visit Norfolk Surgical each month just to use their scale. I was afraid to go Monday -- I just did not feel as if I had lost any additional weight. Tuesday I stepped on my scale and it looked pretty encouraging. So I decided to go on down and weigh. As I was driving down, I prayed and asked God for just one pound! I knew I would be ssssoooo discouraged if I had gained. Well -- would you believe it!!!! I stepped on the scale at Norfolk Surgical and have lost 4 -- yes, count them -- 4 pounds this month!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thank God for this wonderful surgery and for the additional 4 pounds lost!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's see: That makes a total weight loss of 116 pounds -- down from a high of 280. I now weigh 164. Hmmm, I think it may have been 30 years since I last saw this on the scale. 280/164/???

Hey there. I had my surgery on 11/29 and I have also lost 150 pounds. The weight loss has really slowed down... but... I am still working hard and working out. The inches are falling off and I feel wonderful! Ya'll have a great day! Jennifer I need to get a new picture on my profile.

Topic: RE: Question of the Week
I think the best thing that has happened to me is exercising. I just love playing racquetball (always have enjoyed it) but couldn't play when I was heavy. Now, I'm back into it and playing at least once, if not twice, a week. I also hated shopping when I was heavier because the clothes were dumpy and out of style. I enjoy shopping now! Thanks for starting the post...it's great! Denise 326/185/150

The biggest thing that I didnt expect was running. I had problems prior to surgery with impact so I didnt think I would ever be able to do any impact exercise - and here I am running!! Plus an added benefit is that my kids have started running too, and are developing a healthier lifestyle at their young ages - I couldnt ask for anything more! God bless you and keep you, ~Andrea 223/120
