Denise: How wonderful. Great Job!!! I am at 213 and cannot wait until I hit under 200 pounds. I haven't been under 200 pounds for about 20 years. I wish I were under 200 pounds now, but I must be patient. My body is at a slow lose. It takes all I have to lose 2 pounds a week and sometimes I don't make the 2 pounds. I need to loose 80 more pounds. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the response Pam. I think I am gonna try this pilate stuff. I ran into a lady that had an open bypass 3 years ago... she used pilates to tone up - and i need something that I can do whenever I have the time - be it 3 am or otherwise lol...exercise is my weakest point right now, and I know in my heart if I was doing it, I would be losing faster and not tettering ...so my goal is to get something and get into a routine-

Jessica: I had to have a major henia repair too. Mine was on 6 July 05. I really didn't want too, but was afraid not to since I was hurting and it was affecting my ability to exercise. Thank God I did. My intestine was tramped inside the hernia sack in four different places. The doctor told me it was a good thing I had the surgery, because I was in grave danger. Don't you just hate those drainage tubes. I am six and half weeks out from this last surgery. Boy, it seems like I am having a harder time with recover or I'm recovering better and just plan want to get back to normal. I have lost 114 pounds since by gastric by-pass. I would do it again, my life gets better and better. But I want more, I want those last 80 pounds. The hernia surgery has slowed me down again, but I know if I am patient the weight will start coming down again. Be careful and let that hernia repair take hold, and you can walk, walk, walk.
May God watch over all of us and my you have a speedy recovery.

Amy: I do Tang Soo Do, a Korean Martial Arts. I just love it and when I am training I loose weight and tone too. I like the Korean art, because it deals with the whole person concept and lots of self-control. It is amazing how well martial arts helps with all aspects of your life. I had to have a major hernia repair on 6 July 05 and I cannot practice until 1 Oct 05. Bummer. I hate not being able to do my training, but don't want another hernia operation either. It's only six more weeks. One other thing, my loss slows down when I cannot train.
You go for it!!! I hope you fall in love with pilates like I have for Tang Soo Do and Self-Defense.

Andera: You go girl. I have lost 114 pounds. My surgery date was 11/17/04. It doesn't seem real. I practice martial arts and love it. Had to have major hernia repair 6 July 05 and haven't been able to go back to my martial arts yet. Doctor wants me to wait until the end of September to make sure all the repair is healed. I do walk with weights, otherwise I don't even sweat. Like you I fear everyday that I will fail at this diet too. I started out at 327 pounds. I still need to lose 80, but am afraid I won't because my weight loss has slowed down. I usually lose about 2 pounds a week. Sometimes my loss just plain stops.
I am proud of you, you have done a wonderful job. Keep up the running!
