The Weight Wise Clinic referred me to Dr. Toy who is a weight loss reconstructive surgeon. He approved me for a breast reduction and panni removal but if I wanted my breast lifted and the fat roll removed which I believe is called a mastoplexy and the fleur de is tummy tuck along with lipo suction; it would cost me $10,300. All the hospital bill would be covered by AHS as well as all my after care but I can't justify right now spending that much money out of pocket. Also since seeing him my thigh have decided to take a trip down south although my weight has been pretty stable. So that would also be extra. I do know back last year when I seen Dr. Toy he estimated that I'd have about 12 pounds of skin and fat that he would/could remove. I've decided to just wait it out a little longer and see what happens. Right now a body shaper is my best friend.

I hope it doesn't take that long!  I got my psych evaluation booked for next month, I really don't want to wait another year!

When I got my staples out at a clinic here in Calgary, the doctor said he was impressed this was the work of a bariatric/general surgeon ... He said other then the staples, a PS would not have been able to do a better job.  I know June 20th I will wish for the same results for you!

I was flip flopping on it too, like I just was afraid of pain, and all those staples! But I just finally decided, I'd probably regret not having it done while I had the chance.  I'm just so glad it's gone way smoother and easier then I expected, and even looks so much prettier then I thought it would which was a nice bonus! I guess you could always have a consult with him and see what he thinks? Again, your arms are awesome!

Thank you so much! Why would they not cover it for you?

Your arms look great. You are a fast healer.  I go in for my panni with Dr. Nohr on June 20th.  Yeah, I am scared, but he does great work for not being a plastic surgeon.  Calla had a great experience with hers and wow she has a flat tummy now.  But I admit, I am still a little nervous.  Its a BIG cut!

I always thought it was closer to 7500 when I was looking around. Then a woman started to work where I do and in passing conversation, we found out that we both had RNY with Dr Nhor! That was December she was scheduled for a consultation with Dr Hasell for her arm lift, she gave  me the name and info, hers was 3200 it went up significantly after budget cuts. I called right away for a consult and booked it for April 8 where he said obviously I was the right candidate and booked me for may 10th.  I had already been saving for it, or something, for 2 years so I was able to pay cash :).  I will have to save a lot longer if I want my breasts lifted off the floor, thats about 7500, or more by the time I save!  I always knew I would get my arms done.

Now the tummy with Dr Nhor, i keep flip flopping on... i want it, but do i want to go through all that again? 6 weeks off work all those staples...ackk I just don't know...

I'm staggered at how well healed they are at only 3 weeks! I'm also amazed at the price! I was under the impression it cost a LOT more than that for arms.

I'm 12# from my doctor's goal now but hope to lose another 20-30#. My belly, inner thighs and arms are truly awful, and I figured I'd have no real choice but to head back down to Mexico for the plastics I'll need. I'd much rather have them done here if we can manage the $$.

Can you tell us more about the procedure please? How did you find your surgeon? Did your GP have to refer you?
