Or should I just  play your game and report you for harassing me?

Your other IDs, the ones we have confronted you on in the past and made fun of you over.  THOSE IDs.

Go ahead and report me, see how far it gets you.  *I* am not the one with multiple IDs.  Remember, IP addresses do not lie.

Nancy,

I met you at the Thursday support group.
Wanna let you know that Dr Schlesinger is a very good surgeon (despite what MWG states)  YOu seemed thrilled with the whole process prior to surgery.  You got the correct operation and you will get to goal. I know in a few weeks you will be feeling much better and the weightloss will be more evident.  Infections happen.  I know several people that have had them after many different types of surgeries.
MWG likes to start trouble.  As for the Lapband guy how about this link to a Fang patient that had a massive infection, MWG will say its Schlesinger fault too!

We could find many more, there is a Husted patient that I chat with daily that had more wrong than infection, yet we understand the risks of any surgical procedure!  Crap happens!

Infection may happen.  Take the antibiotics and get on with you weight loss.

Focus on your well being and get the support you need.

I think you are in the East Valley, I am in East Mesa now, so if you ever want to chat or get together let  me know.

I have no interest in getting into who did what to whom. What I know is how I have been treated post- surgery and it is appalling.

Fortunately, my PCP is referring me to Banner Baywood Hospital's wound care department where I feel i will get the care i need without the attitude.

I will keep my appts with Dr. Schlesinger to monitor my weight loss and blood work but I am taking my wound care out of his hands. period. My life is at stake as infections are very serious and I intend to treat it as such.

I am not influenced by any other poster, only my own first hand experience. I also understand that infections are a real possibility of any surgery, however NOT treating them once they occur is NOT.

Hi Nancy. You are most certainly doing the right thing by not ignoring your concerns. I am the former patient of Dr Schlesinger that MWG has referred to. It has been one year from when things started going wrong and I am still healing. You can use the link to my posting to learn more about what happened to me, but for now I’ll give you a condensed version. I encourage you to do seek specialized care immediately. I suggest consulting an infectious disease doctor. Because my symptoms were disregarded, an abscess formed. Tests that should have been ordered were not ordered and cultures that should have been taken were not taken. Consequently, a full blown infection went undiagnosed and was permitted to fester for two months (despite ongoing symptoms of severe pain, 104 fevers, and a high WBC). I finally went to my PCP and he had the good sense to take it seriously and take cultures. The very next day, the culture tested positive and was identified as a specific type of bacteria that has only been recorded once in medical literature. I ended up in the ER of PV Hospital for two weeks and then on a feeding tube for 3 months while a hole in my stomach was healing. Schlesinger gave me the “all clear" despite the fact that my wounds were still not healing. My family finally talked me into getting a second opinion from to the Mayo Clinic. Their infectious disease department was very critical of the course of treatment I received from Schlesinger and PV Hospital. Primarily because they only had me on antibiotics for the 2 weeks I was in the hospital. I was told that my specific infection should have been treated with antibiotics for several months and by IV for the first several weeks. The Mayo performed CT scans which showed the infection still rampant. The bacteria still in me formed additional abscesses and another hole in my stomach. This led to a second abdominal laporotomy where they repaired the stomach and exploratory surgery to debride all the damaged tissue. This lasted 7 hours and another week in the hospital. I was then sent home with a picc line for IV antibiotics for 5 weeks and then oral antibiotics. The IV antibiotics cost almost $800 each day. This second surgery was in May and I am still on oral antibiotics. Fortunately everything has now closed and stopped leaking. The lesson I learned is do NOT trust just one doctor. Get a second opinion, maybe even a third. What should have cost $15,000 will probably reach a half million before this year is up.. ………..and to think, Dr Schlesinger would NOT even refund me half the Lap Band Surgery cost ($7,500) for not using the follow up care portion after the lap band surgery. I hope this info helps.

Thanks, Tom.

I am so angry now that the Schlesinger brown nosers are disregarding yet another infected patient and telling her to quit moaning and groaning.

Thank you for coming her at my request.

You are my hero!

I am quite sure she was thrilled before surgery.  That is BEFORE your surgeon misdiagnosed an infection. Do you understand the problem here?  Do you????

I am sure that AFTER another doctor who correctly cultured her wound and found that she IS right and she DOES have an active infection will fix her problem unlike Schlesinger who misdiagnosed the problem and ignored the issue.

Don't you dare suggest that because she was thrilled with the idea of weight loss this takes away from the FACT that YOUR doctor misdiagnosed yet another infection.

I do not like to start trouble, I tell facts and that makes your surgeon look like a piece of ****

Deal with it.

BTW....  instead of showing a patient with a problem from another doctor, why don't you link ME to this patient since you are desperately trying to do so.

Funny how this is your first post ever on this forum.  Just when GinaU needs you, you suddenly show up just like the rest of her IDs.

Go back under your rock, GinaU, that is where you belong.  The normals here do not like nor respect you.
