My hubby and kids just bought a Wii and they are trying to sell me on the benefits of owning a Wii fit.........has anyone tried any of the Fit or personal trainer games?  Do you like them and do they really offer a benefit?

I have a Wii fit, the allure of it wears off pretty quick. Mine is a hassle to deal with though since I don't have the Wii hooked up all the time. It has some fun games, some not so fun games also. It has a weight limit of 330, so when I first bought it I was unable to use it.

I have one for a about 2 months now and I love it. I really love the wii active more, its great if your not ready or can't afford the gym. the active gives you a trainer and 30 day program its gets harder each day. you can feel it the next day. my kids really enjoy it too with friend. see if you can rent the games 1st. with active you don't need the broad. good luck, have fun.

Funny that you ask this, as I just read online about 2 days agoa test done with a set of twins.  One of them hired a personal trainer and went to a gym, while the other used Wii fit.  The difference in a month between the two?  The one using the Wii sit lost just 2 lbs less than the sister who hired a personal trainer.

Good luck, Diane

Thanks for all the input.   I've got the fit but think Im going to get the personal trainer version as well as it comes with bands and some other stuff.  I'm not ready to the gym but a little family competition might be fun.  I've seen an article where some personal trainers are actually using the Wii fit in their training programs.  Thats a great study between twins.......very interesting.  I guess its just all about doing it whether its with a trainer or a game console.......get up off the butt is the key!

I have the personal trainer on WII and believe me you will sweat! I thought it was going to be nothing but shoot I was sweating and had the nerve to be sore the next day. I would definitely recommend that especially if you don't want to go to the gym or hire a personal trainer! You can even jog and walk in place.
