How do you thank someone for supporting you ( my hubby and son (hes 7)) when all they said is they are supposed to support me on this? My son thinks it silly I keep thanking him, and my hubby says its what a husband is supposed to do...

So ladies and gents got any ideas for me?

God bless our troops

What a lucky ducky you are. If your words don't show your gratitude in their comfort place, I'm sure that seeing you becoming healthier and happier is the greatest you can do. Keep the love flowing.

i am totally enamoured of your signature line.  I have the original with the killer picture of a lace purple dragon, which I have always wanted to work in counted cross stitch and never have, but your paraphrasse is just perfect.  I will burst out in giggles all day over it!

I am sure your right, I just feel I should do something.

I have my work support whom I give cards to that simply say thank you. Granted one of them, just has the VSG about 3 weeks ago now so we were one anothers major support here at work. And the other is my Best Female Friend. My Best Friend is my hubby but Crystal is a close second on that scale.

God bless our troops

Hi there,

You could hide little gratitude notes to eah of them throughout their things, clothes,  cars, etc.  Each one would give a specific example of why you are grateful to have them in your life.  It's small but how cool would it be to put your hand in a pocket and pull out a note like that not expecting to.

OH thanks for asking this is so my thing!

Son -  What does he like?  Do it with him.  My 7 year old is a Legoaholic like me so I sit with him and do Legos he loves that.

Husband -  Well we all know what husbands like.  Get him a new nighty or what I call a TATA, He will love it.  OR you can take him out for a good BBQ dinner, they all love the BBQ.

You, like me are so blessed to have a hubby and kids that support you.  I think that is amazing.  What makes us strong families is that we care enough to say thankyou.  So many people cant or won't say thank you, they just take it for granted and feel they just plain out deserve it.  Your family cares about you because you care about them.  My family likes time over everything else.  Me spending time with them doing things we both enjoy together.

Do some family time with them or some individual time with each.  That is what I think families like and what makes families strong. Wishing you the best.

They are right, they are doing something they are supposed to be doing and ANYTHING you do for them would say thank you.  Maybe plan something you all can do as a family, something maybe you haven't done because before you felt to fat or uncomfortable.  Family outtings are always fun and a GREAT way to celebrate as a family =)

Maybe you could bake them a cake!  NO I AM JUST TEASING!  Yoou have gotten some great ideas.  I like spending time with them and the one about the notes in different places.  I am so blessed with my husband and family too!  I saw my youngest son yesterday and it was the first time I have seen him since my surgery and he called me skinny!  I just loved that!  I am so blessed and it means the world to me.

I am in the same boat as you with a great supportive family.  I am trying my best to make their life a little easier and meeting as many of their needs as my new found energy and the hours in the day will allow.  My hubby hunts on the weekend right now so I have asked him if there is anything he needs for the weekend and will pick it up while hes at work so he doesnt have to.  I also make some goodies or pick  up his favorite snax for his trip.
I also make his favorite lunch for him to take to work everyday and make sure I have the stuff he likes rather than just throwing something together with whatever i have.  I'm also trying to make dinner ready for them every night when they get home from school and work and have the house cleaned up........Men are such simple creatures...at least mine is.  As long as he has a clean house, clean underwear & socks in his drawer and he knows dinner is coming .......he's a happy man!
I like the TaTa idea!  Just not ready for that shopping trip yet though
