We all probably need to exercise more, whether it's walking, hitting the gym, or actually starting that 5K training we dreamed about 100 pounds ago. I'm sure we'll all vow to start for New Year's resolutions, but why wait? Let's help each other to jump on the wagon now.

Pre-ops are welcome to come with various questions regarding the expectations of WLS. Hopefully more people will come and provide future topics. Since the last meeting was in East Sac, I've placed this one in West Sac.

Hope you can make it!

Uh... so, are you supposed to lose a certain amount of weight before you're allowed to have surgery?

Hello to all!

I just started the Kaiser options program and starting my options classes next week.  I was told that most likely I will be refered to West LA Kaiser.  Have any of you had your surgery there?  If so could you share your experiance with me?

Fist and foremost let me Welcome you to Obesity help!  I too am new to this website but I must admit I have learned so much in the short weeks since joining.  Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Now to your question: My cousin was on the Lindora program which is very expensive and very time consuming.  She had to go into there offices a few times a day.  She lost the weight while on the program but once she stopped they weight gain came right back.

For me my only options is WLS.  I just started the WLS program thru my insurance company and hope to have my WLS by spring 2012!  Good luck to you!

Warm Regards,
Jackie
