If  your OB/Gyn is saying it's not safe because you had bypass, then find one who isn't a moron.  If there is some other reason in your medical history that you are a high risk pregnancy, then that's different.

For bypass, you do have to be very careful about taking your supplements and keeping up with your labs. But otherwise, there is no issue. It takes about an extra 200 calories a day to support a pregancy and that's easy enough to do. Just have an extra protein shake or a handful of nuts and you are there.

People with bypass get pregnant all the time and are fine as long as they are taking their vitamins and watching their nutrition.

I am 35 pregnant and had I've had the Gastric Bypass and a T.T. my OB/GYN says that its not safe for me to be pregnant but I don't agree. Is that true what he is saying?
