2.5 Year Post-Op - Need Health Insurance -- Ideas???
Here I am 2.5 years post-op... down ~100 pounds and a nice weight (5'8" @ 155)... healthy 48 yo female.
DH is self-employed... me I'm a 'kept woman'.
The problem is -- who's gonna give me individual health insurance now? I'm in Colorado and over a year ago Blue Cross said 'Call back 5 yrs post-op'.
I'm currently paying close to $500 a month for just ME! (Through a special state program for 'uninsurable' folks.)
Has anyone had any luck in getting an individual health plan post WLS?
Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.
