My insurance company told the insurance guru that the didn't receive my "clinicals".

I don't buy it. I was so upset yesterday, so I have sent over the docs I had, that I gave to my surgeon's office, to a supervisor.

We shall see.

I have jumped through all the hoops, I have done everything. NOW they say they didn't receive any info, except a letter.

HA!

Insurance guru refaxed everything. Now, we wait again.

GAH! Keeping a positive outlook regarding this. . . .

Well I haven't been on this section of the forums in a while. I actually had my surgery on 11/20 but I ended up self-paying. Two days before surgery Aetna denied me saying I wasn't obese enough, as if insurance companies are the experts. Regardless I felt it was a good investment in my health and I went ahead and financed through CareCredit. Everything went great and I feel...AWESOME. At least I have a good tax deduction next year

Topic: Littleton Support Group this Thursday

Hi Everyone! Our Support Group will be meeting this Thursday at Faith Community Church in Littleton, CO from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. If you need directions please email me and I will give them to you. REMINDER…. In our last meeting we all decided to “unclutter" our closets and homes and bring the items to our group. We have two people that have volunteered to take our items to a couple of different charities. If you would like to participate – bring that bag of clothing or any other unused items to our meeting. Don’t bring them inside the church – leave them in your vehicle and we will make the exchange after the meeting when we all go to our cars. INSPIRATION: Always live everyday like it’s your last and tell those closest to you how much you love them. See you on Thursday! Topic: Thornton, CO workout buddy?

I just thought I'd put it out there...if you're in the Thornton/Northglenn area and are looking for a workout buddy to be accountable to and for me to be accountable to you as well. Well, hit me up! I know it's rather "codependant" , but it's just so much easier and FUN to have someone to go with. I currently am a member at the Lady Fitness on 92nd ave & colorado blvd. But, the thornton rec center is nearby too.

Topic: RE: MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

I moved here in July and needed to connect with a Medicare doctor. I called many on the forum and have found only 2 groups that do Bariatric Medicare patients. Many accepted Medicare but NOT for Bariatric patients! The two that I found at this point are Dr. Tillquist at 303-789-1877 and Dr. Snyder (don't have his phone number). I also found that Dr. Snyder's group requires a $210 deposit which is NOT billed to Medicare! I was surprised this was required even though I was not consulting for the surgery but coming to them after I had surgery in another state! It seemed a consult fee is for new surgery but not so!

I did not call University Hospital so I don't know about them. It is possible that may used to but do not now take Medicare given all the changes and stuff going on with it.
