Prednisone and malabsorbtion

I have been prescribed prednisone for Adrenal insufficiency and haven't seen results.  I'm wondering if I'm malabsorbing some of it?  Any thoughts? 

i can tell you that I have taken prednisone post-DS and I certainly absorbed it - because I felt its effects strongly.

Besides the adrenal results you're looking for....do you feel any side effects from the Prednisone?

I haven't noticed anything at all.  What side effects did you notice?  I am on 7.5mg.  How much were you on?

More than your dose.   It was part of my IVF protocol.  Took lots of prednisone over the past few years.  Makes me feel like I'm on speed a little bit,  and I didn't need much sleep.  I kinda liked it actually.  Feeling speedy and sleepless is a common side effect of oral steroids.  I wonder if there is some kind of bloodwork you could do to test the presence of it in your system?

Be careful with the steroids NYB, long-term they increase the risk of osteoporosis. 

I know.  It was during my IVF cycles.  I have a baby now,  so no more of that...
