8 chic fil a nuggets & a few French fries
Handful of salt & vinegar almonds

Yesterday I was out all day and it was a bit atypical, rather more carby than usual.

Before hitting the road: a banana

While in the car: a protein beverage

Stopped at always delightful www.wheatmontana.com flagship store and got a ham and Swiss cheese croissant, fresh baked and yummy.

Sat at doc's office for a good three hours getting iron infusion and consultation. About starved to death from delayed lunch LOL.

Lunch at a vintage garage turned eatery in Bozeman, MT. Had "the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich" and coleslaw and a beer. Was stuffed to the gills for over three hours, which is some kind of record.

Supper was fish and chips with veggies and a lovely locally grown salad. Actually, everything except the fish was local. Can't catch cod in Montana :-D.

On the way home I ate my other Wheat Montana treat, a chocolate croissant. YUM YUM.

Got home and had my midnight snack of chunks of cheese.

Farted my gizzards out all night, I suspect, but I slept through it.

Today I was back on the straight and narrow:

1st breakfast: 2 containers of Greek yogurt and tea

2nd breakfast: 7 slices of bacon and more tea

Lunch: Made by me broccoli cheddar soup with more cheese and sour cream than should be legal.

Munched raw carrots and peppers and chunk cheese throughout the afternoon.

Supper: Pot roast with many veggies and a beer.

Dessert got postponed in favor of evening snack because I forgot I had more bacon in the microwave. So I had seven more slices of bacon. Now I am plotting what sweet thing I'll have for dessert. It's likely to be angel food cake with a few strawberries drowned in sweet cream.

no we don't have to eat hunks of meat all day. LOL But  I guess that would be one option if you wanted!    Eggs, cheese, nuts, cottage cheese, yogurt, cream. steak, burger, ribs, are among my favorite choices as well as a few- very few protein drinks & bars from time to time . .but then I eat pretty normally too - pizza, tacos (and no I dont omit the crust or shells as many do here) and salads and vegetables have some protein in them also . .if you can find room . .and I do grab a few chitos here and there and  some strawberries but I try to be careful as I dont like the raunchy gas that results. I do have Carb smart ice cream and Julian protein low carb bread too! I love to make french toast with it and use sugar free maple syrup with it. I am a revision from a stomach staplng I lived with for 25 years that I imagine was much like the band in terms of restriction. I coped by eating a soft food diet (soups, dips, ice cream  ) which actually kept me over 250 pounds most of the years . .now I am down 75 pounds in 6 months as I feel like I eat all the time and enjoy food so much more! The protein grams add up fast but you do need to tune in and be aware of what you are eating too.

My day looked like this:

3 - 50g protein coffees
1 1/2 piece of 3-meat pizza leftover from last night's dinner
some mac and cheese

I haven't been very hungry the last couple of days...it sometimes goes in streaks with the hunger thing.  I always make sure to get in at least 150g of protein a day (that seems to be the minimum my body needs).  I don't eat "hunks of meat all day"...hahaha, that's cracking me up.  I drink protein coffees and eat a varied diet of cheese, greek yogurt, meat, protein bars, veggies...and yes, *gasp*, even carbs.  What I love about my DS is that nothing is really "off limits," per se...just some things work better than others.  But as long as I hit my protein needs, I can eat pretty much whatever I want (in moderation) and still easily maintain my weight.

You really need to see Jenna Lynn's threads on the subject of eating post-DS.  These have lots of pics and go through the DS Math to determine how much (or rather how little) is absorbed.  Hope this helps.

I had a crapband before my DS, and I can tell you, that I was NEVER able to eat like I do now!  With the band, I couldn't even think about pork chops or chicken, but now, I eat any and all kinds of meat.  Hunks of meat?  No, but I eat every 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  I can just now eat an entire hard shell taco.  My sleeve is kinda small.

I am over three years out and was NOT a revision, but here is what I ate yesterday. It was kind of stay-close-to-my-desk-because-of-work kind of day so it is a little boring.

B: 3 ounces of colby jack cheese (love!) and about 10 Triscuits
Diet Coke

Snack: Snickers bar

L: 3 medium pieces of Paula Deen's bacon cheeseburger meatloaf (amazing recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/bacon-cheesebu rger-meatloaf-recipe/index.html)

mashed potatoes and butter
green beans and butter
Diet Coke

Snack: 2 Little Debbie Swiss cakes

D: 2 large pieces of Paula Deen's bacon cheeseburger meatloaf
mashed potatoes
Diet Coke

Snack: 2 brownies and milk

Later snack: tortilla chips and melted cheese (faux nachos before bedtime)

So, basically, protein-y meaty stuff (yes, hunks of meat for me, I guess) sandwiched between sugary treats). I am not the typical DSer, though. You never know what you're going to end up with.

Best of luck to you!

Here's what I ate yesterday.  I'm in "maintenance", however, I am still losing...

B- 20oz protein coffee
S- 20oz coffee w/H&H and splenda, 1c greek yogurt with SF lemon curd
S- 16oz diet Snapple juice, cheese stick
L- HUGE 4" double meat BBQ beef brisket, cheddar, mayo sub on whole grain roll, a few Cheetos from the small lunch bag, 20oz diet cherry coke
S- cheese stick, 5 cherries
S- 20oz breve latte, the rest of the Cheetos
D- big slice of chicken Santa Fe casserole (chicken, black beans, cheese, Rotel, Philly creme sauce, low carb tortillas) slathered with greek yogurt, and 1/2c cooked Dreamfields spaghetti with butter and tons of parmesan (it was leftover night)
S- other 4" of sub listed above
S- a Hershey's chocolate bar, a graham cracker, 2 marshmallows (yes, I made a s'more and then ate the rest of the chocolate bar, LOL!)

I also drank about 40oz of plain water.

I think that's it...  I eat a lot, and pretty much all day long.  I'm a big joke in my office, because I'm always shoveling food in my mouth between patients.

Oh.  My.  GOSH!

I seriously have tears in my eyes right now.  I know this sounds stupid but I have been living my life for the last 5 years eating NOTHING and gaining weight.  Triscuits and cheese?  Ribs?  I just am so stunned.  Here's what the crapband let me eat today (it's a little tight today.  Who knows why.  It probably won't be tomorrow):

B:  half of a small slice of pork - 3 bites in it got stuck and threw it back up
S:  half a slice of banana bread (bad but I was STARVING and tight so I picked something that would slide down)
L:  4 oz piece of fish with a little tartar sauce - went down fine so I got a false sense of security and had.......
S:  Apple - 1 bite, got violently stuck
D - not eating it because I'm tight and sore.  :(

Granted, this is not a usual day but it's not terribly unusual either.  I've learned to eat mushy foods like potatoes, and other carby things because I'm starving all the time and everything else gets stuck.   And THAT ladies and gentlemen, is why I'm gaining.  Ice cream, mashed potatoes, carrots and muffins aren't a very good diet.  Plus, I'm a MAJOR carnivore so this band is horrible for me.  They said "if you eat it with gravy or if it's moist, you'll be fine.  LIES!!!!  :)   They can't unfill me because my stupid port is flipped too.

I'm so frustrated that I didn't know about the DS option the first time.  It has been years of hell and I just want it out.  :(

Best of luck to you.  I totally hear your pain, emotional and physical, in this post.  Lap bands should be illegal.
