I too decided to switch surgeons in the middle of the approval process. My advice is to keep a copy of all your paperwork, letters, needed for insurance and what happens to you medical wise. Keep a 3 ring binder to hold everything. It will just make everything easier when you have your own copy and not rely on other offices to send them. I learned the hard way. Welcome and Good luck.
Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

I am new on here as well! Seriously seeking a revision surgery from RNY (2000) to DS. If I had known the DS option was available, I may not be in this position. Best wishes and looking forward to following your progress.
