Haven't been around OH in a while but wanted to pop in and ask a question! Does anyone here have an online support group that is provided by their surgeon's office? If so, will you share that info with me?

I know that there are many other avenues of online support, OH being one of them, as well as groups on FB and YT. But I'm specifically interested in finding out if there are any surgeons' offices offering support groups online for their patients who, for whatever reason, can't travel to face-to-face support groups.

I am looking for a buddy to talk to. someone who has had the surgery (roux n y) at least 3 yrs.. i am post op 7 yrs.. but i gain some of the weight back.. and am having a hard time dealing with it.  I am in the Apopka/Orlando, Fl area. Please anyone interested let me know! 

 

January 10, 2012 OH: Today I called my Authorization specialist to see if my insurance company covers WLS. I was informed that United Heath Care covers my VSG surgery, for that I'm very happy. I'll have to start a medically supervised diet, if requested by the insurance company. Psychology orientation is next, then I can do all my other test. This is the beginning of my journey, hopefully by next year I can join you on the losers bench. Please keep me in your prayers.

I had my rNY on Nov 29th, but had several complications, but not with pouch. I am now home from hospital and am trying actual food. So far so good with lean meatloaf plain, chicken, and deli turkey. I am running out of breakfast ideas. I also cook the chicken in crock pot with cream soup to make it moist. I am looking for some new ideas and easy recipes since its hard for me to get around because I am recovering from blood clot. I appreciate new suggestions. Also I have had a few bite size pieces of home oven baked plain cheese pizza and surprisingly it does well. Has anyone else been able to do pizza?
