Approved and Have Date
I have finally been approved by UHC and have a date of August 3, 2009. I have been working on this since last year and am sooo nervous now but also can't wait. Thanks to everyone who helped push State Health to cover weight loss surgeries.

Congrats Linda .... I was soooooooooo happy when United Healthcare offered the WLS surgery beginning January, 2009. I started my journey back in open enrollment when I found out that they were gonna cover it in October of 08. I just had my surgery June 29th. I am feeling great!
