Aloha everyone, been reading your posts for a while now and decided to take the plunge and join you. I am almost 2 weeks postop RNY (done at Queen's). First few days postop was a little rough but everday gets better and better. No more diabetic meds but am monitoring the BP closely, hopefully one day won't need those meds either. I live in Mililani and work in Kaneohe. I was born and raised on School St. in Kalihi. I plan to get back to work on Nov 1 if not sooner. I was told we had to take off a minimum of 4 weeks postop but I don't know, I'm already feeling energetic and good to go, of  course always feeling full. even when I first wake up.  Ahui Hou!

I live on Maui and i think if i am not mistaked, that Dr. uses Dr. Schlesinger....i dotn know about Dr. Phan but i work in the medical field so i can ask around for you..i will let u know!  aloha!

so i have already done 4 plastic surgery consultations. i really like dr. phan. he's located here on kauai but has a surgical center on maui with dr.mirzai. i can either go to maui for a weekend and stay in his bungalows located across the street from the surgical center.......or.......have surgery here at the hospital on kauai.....it'll be more here cause he has to pay to use the hospital facilities.....and....the risk of infection is greater cause the OR is used for any type of surgery, ya know? but it seems so easy to just have my body cut, sculpted and drive home to recover instead of having to deal with flying.

question......have any of you heard of this doc? do you have any friends who have used him?
