Thanks Viki.  It is hard work however it is worth the blood, sweat and tears.  Oya don't forget the pukie feeling when you excercise.

Thanks for answering that question.  I was trying to figure out how I would get a protein drink through the airport...duh.... protein powder.  Did you buy some here to take with you, or did you buy it there, and any recommendations on brands?

Also, I know this is a DUM question -- but do the staples beep through security?

I will have to travel myself, as DH must stay home with the family.  I have to admit   I am looking forward to is a week of  "me" time.  I think I would like to sleep the whole time!

I'm so inspired by you, and as someone who hasn't had surgery yet, i really appreciate learning more about what you went through.  Congratulations to you -- this is a big step for any of us to consider and I admire you -- and everyone else's courage in blazing these paths for the rest of us!

My surgery was done laporascopically. I stayed home for two weeks. However, I could have gone back to work after a week as I have a desk job.

Asia,

I love how you set your goals! Your kids are your cheerleaders cause they want that pass. Love it! I think you are going to beat your Halloween AND your 195 smaller than your DH goal. I say by Halloween you will be 191.

As far as your DH having security issues maybe it's just that he lost his partner for eating all the great food here in Hawaii. But a true local girl like yourself can still enjoy poke, sushi and raw fish, right?

You look awesome. Take care!!!

ps-i remember my goal was to be smaller than what my drivers license said, LOL......

Hi Keala

Traveling back was easy as pie. I was 5 days out. I brought powdered protein in my backback. Once I got into the airport past security, I bough****er and mixed. Once I was on the plane, I sipped on my chocolate protein drink and crunched on ice cubes. No pain or discomfort, just lots of gas. A couple of trips to the lua and I was okay.......loud gassy otots but nobody can hear, LOL.

I didn't even sleep on the plane cause I wanted to watch the movie. I wanted that last uninterrupted time before getting back to the kids to see a movie without someone going, "mommy, he hit me", "mommy i have to use the bathroom", "mommy, i'm thirsty"........you know the routine. LOL...........

You are almost there! Congrats.........

Debbie I went back to work in 6 days.  I had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work on Monday.  Everyone is different and everyone has different jobs.  I work at a desk and actually I am on this website most of the time cruzzing.  I was thinking why be at home on the web when I can get paid and play.

Dr. Fowler says 1 to 2 weeks.
