Topic: RE: My HMSA cost
You are so very lucky, Asia! My insurance wouldn't cover anything done outside HI even though Dr. Cirangle comes here. Go figure! (although they did cover my pre-op testing and meds)

The cost of my surgery replaces a new car for a few years, but the way I look at it, I can walk now if anything happens to my current car!

I hope you're feeling well and taking things slowly. The next few months will be so exciting.... along with the rest of your new life!
((hugs))

Since half of Hawaii has HMSA I decided that I would share.  My hospital bill came out to $1950.00 This is a little more expensive than the regular because I had to stay and extra day.  I think my bill would have be $1500 if it was only one day.  I had to pay a 20% co pay for hospital stay.  My procedure was covered and so was all the other stuff that they needed during surgery.

The hospital is going to bill me so guess what I will take my time.

Aloha,
Asia

I am doing great. I stopped the pain meds yesterday. I am actually not in pay at all. Even the gas pain is not that bad. I just feel like I ate a whole thanksgiving turkey. I am on clear liquids for awhile because my stomma is a little tight but that is ok. I get full off of one oz and I only can drink 4 oz in 1 hour. It takes 15 minutes for my stomma to empty. Aloha, Asia
