Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I am good. Things are going pretty good with the weight loss and I feel great. I still cannot eat large portions and it still surprises me at how little I actually can eat. As long as I choose the healthier foods and the foods my body craves (not my mind), I am good to go.

Wow Ruth, sounds like you have no clue about Hawaii. I am a local. Born in Hawaii and I do not treat people differently because of their color or origin. In my lifetime in Hawaii I hung out with everyone and all of my friends were local. Alot of white, black and Asians here and they are all locals and are all my friends. If you were treated like an outsider you were probably acting like you belong somewhere else. As for the roaches, they are a problem in every messy home. Clean your house and do your dishes and take out the trash once in a while and you won't have a roach problem. I seen worse in places in the Mainland. I haven't seen a centipede in over 20 years at least. There is alot of crime and drugs but no hate crimes which I read about happens in the mainland. Over here the criminals don't care who you are they will rob you just the same. So please.. Don't hate on the locals.

Hi Jennifer, I ive on Kauai in Hawaii. I am scheduled for my VSG March 27 with Dr. C in San Fran. He only comes to the islands for pre and post op care. I had my consultation with him earlier this month here on Kauai. I heard it costs around $17,000(my insurance is covering mine). You stay just 1 night. Have you checked the other Forum? Well I'm stuck at 182!!!! I have lost 96 pounds its crazy. I am stuck I believe because I am on this morphine for my back and it really makes you constipated and so the scale moves between 180 and 187 does this happen to anyone else? I am joining curves today If you have Kaiser they are waiving the sign up fee of 149.00! I live on Maui but am not to sure about the other islands but I am assuming if its on Maui it should for sure be the same deal on Oahu ect. Hope to see you there. Welcome Michelle, I am a patient of Dr. Cirangle's and I also chose the VSG. I commend you on your choice. It really was/is the easiest thing I have ever done. Love it. I am now 5 months out and I am down 87lbs.
