I am about to finish up my last recommendation for surgery which is the lifestyle discovery class. They should submit to insurance after that. I have medicare and they said its usually quicker w them but I was wondering when I get the news back what happens next and how long will it take b4 surgery. I have dr Inman which they said there is an 8 wk weight for surgery but do I have to do labs or endoscopes or anything like that in the meantime?

Once approved, the office will call and set up the pre op testing.

Tons of blood, pulmonary function test, chest x-ray, upper gi (barium swallow), EKG, and gallbladder ultra sound.

About 2 weeks after that, you need with the Surgical Clearence NP for all your test results and to be cleared for surgery.

Once cleared, the office gets the results and calls to set up the surgery.
