I will post more tomorrow when I'm feeling better but just wanted to let you all know I'm okay I think. I'm in a lot of pain this evening. They said it would be sore and all that stuff. I gotta call tomorrow if it is worse or not feeling much better. They ended up taking 3 samples and I'm just miserable. :( It's started bleeding off and on again too which worries me some but it's not a terrible amount yet. I should get my results on May 5. I'll give some more details tomorrow I'm going to try and rest. I should have come right home and rested but they said I could do normal activity just no lifting more than 5 lbs for 48 hours and just don't do anything strenous or anything like that so I thought walking would be okay but it's bad bad tonight soo I don't know.

I was wiiide awake yesterday for the procedure. They had given me a little bit of Verset BUT were hesitant to give me the full shebang because of my Asthma, so I was awake and talking to them the whole time and remember the whole thing. Unfortunately I felt most of it too even after they did a local anesthetic a couple times. They use like a little biopsy gun thingy and stick it in and then pull the trigger or push the button and it grabs the sample. It makes a weird popping noise when it happens, it's kind of crazy. Everyone at IU that I came into contact with was awesome though. The nurse in the room when they were doing my procedure kept talking with me to try and keep my mind off of things. I'm feeling a little better today as far as the pain not being constant but if I move or cough (which I'm doing a lot) or take a deep breath it's painful, plus I got sick last night after eating which I think is part of why the pain was sooo bad. I'm extremely tired today too but that could be because of my restlessness and lack of sleep the past few days and also that I didn't get any of my vitamins except my evening dose yesterday (we ran out in a hurry and forgot my pill organizer that was right by the door but I wouldn't have been able to start them til afternoon anyways) and I only got to eat 2 times yesterday. Some dehydration too because I had to fast for my test then couldn't drink anything for 2 hours after and just a lot of everything. I'm trying to stay awake and push fluids and eat and all that fun stuff today to play catch up! I didn't sleep so well last night because I'm a belly sleeper or atleast a side sleeper and any time I rolled remotely near my side or tummy I was up in pain. Theres no bleeding outside today soo I'm thankful the little spot is scabbed up it seems already. Thanks so much for the prayers and positive thoughts!

Hi Misty, Sandra told me about you.  I am in Missouri and I have liver problems also.  What are your sytems?  I had RNY on year ago and after that surgery my enzyme levels were 850 and they put me back in the hospital but couldn't find the reason and I didn't have any insurance at the time so I couldn't really afford a liver specialist.  My ws doctor kept checking my blood and the levels took about 6 months before that came down to ALMOST in the good range.  Then last month I had plastic surgery and my levels went up to 765,  They ran my labs again a couple of weeks ago and it is down to 406 so it is getting better but the liver specialist want to do a biopsy to see what damage has been done and why it is happening.  I go back on May 5th so I will know more then, hopefully.  So, tell me about your issues, if you don't mind.

Hugs,
Sharlene

My liver enzymes have fluctuated for a long while for the past 5-6 years. Pre op I guess it wasn't as big of a deal but since I've lost so much weight and changed my diet and all they were kind of concerned when my enzymes shot waaaaaaaaaay up. Liver disease runs in my family also sooo they didn't want to play around with it. I haven't had any symptoms persay other than abnormal labs and I found out my constant itching could be related as well.
