Definition of STRICTURE

1 a : an abnormal narrowing of a bodily passage; also : the narrowed part

I had 2 endoscopies done due to ulcers, and they are not a big deal. I hope your surgeon can find out what is going on! Does it hurt when you do eat??

Could someone explain a stricture? I am 5'7", had RNY 11 years ago and eat like a pig but my weight is dropping drastically. I held between 128 and 148 for many years but today weighed 103. I actually got down to 100 the other day. Going to see my original surgeon tomorrow.

Hi! I'm new here and hope to get some support after I have my surgery in one month. But wow!!! Look at what you have accomplished so far. I went to Weigh****chers for 10 years and kept off 70 - 90 pound for all that time. I just need to lose a bunch more. My leader always said, if you are gaining weight, cut carbs, concentrate on protein, drink lots of fluids and exercise more. So that certainly isn't a secret formula on these boards. If it were that easy, none of us would have to have the surgery. But life gets busy and old habits creep back in and Whammo, the pounds start creeping back up. Good luck, I'm sure you will get those pounds off soon!

Been wondering the same thing here too. I use to not be able to keep up with the posts, and now its like there are very few. I have been over on the pregnancy board with the little one being born in July but still check in here too!

I have a few pounds creeping back on and some old ugly habits rearing their heads. I am two years out and really have lost touch with most everyone and everything associated with my surgery. I haven't exercised all summer and am feeling quite desperate to get back on track. I need support!!

I have been wondering the same thing. It seems that none of the familar board names to me are popping up anymore. It seems like it goes days without a new post at all. I hope everyone is doing Okay and that there is not a crisis in their lives that is keeping them from coming to the boards.
